How many years have you used their oil to determine that it is "garbage"?
Don't need years of blackstone reports for my determination. The fact that YOU are recommending it, IS the official confirmation.

That would make sense if I were 16 years old, but I've been researching and changing oil for at least 46 years, so.......

Welcome. I see you’ve met all the oil MFers already. Just wait until you meet the 6MT badge crowd.

Yea, totally shows too. The fact you don't know the weight is for emissions purposes only shows you don't know much. As usual.

I'd ask again for you to show your work, but we all know there isn't any.

You posting in any thread:

I guess some guys think Amsoil is also "garbage oil". It is not.
Here's an example of their oil advice:
"
Engines are Built to Use a Certain Viscosity of Motor Oil
Today’s advanced engines are built with much tighter tolerances than their predecessors. The clearances between the crankshaft journals and main bearings are tighter, for one. This is purposely done to allow modern engines to use lower-viscosity motor oil, like 0W-20 and even 0W-16.

Yes, lower-viscosity oils reduce internal friction since they flow more easily than higher-viscosity oils, improving fuel economy.

Too thick may not flow quickly enough to fill the spaces between the crank journals and main bearings while the engine is running.

The oil won’t form a consistent lubricating film, allowing metal-to-metal contact and wear. If your engine was designed specifically to use a lower-viscosity oil, in this case 0W-20. Its lower viscosity allows it to flow faster and fill the tiny clearances between parts, leading to a durable, consistent lubricating film.

And since thicker oil doesn’t transfer heat as well as thinner oil, operating temperatures will increase, possibly leading to accelerated chemical break down (called “oxidation“) and harmful sludge and deposits."

Bottom line: Your stock Supra's engine will NOT self-destruct if you use the mfr's recommended oil. In fact, it may outlive us all.
