just noticed a significant issue I probably need to try to get looked at before I tune tonight on my way home. Lettting the car cool off and restart and I’ll see if I can duplicate.

car is stock besides cai and catback.

driving in sport 45 mph, as soon as I turn sport off and back in normal, the car even going 45, would shift up and up, with little or no acceleration even happening. Car had me in 7th gear going 45 and bogged very heavy. Switch back to sport mode, works fine and goes in the proper gear. Switch back to normal, same thing happened, 7th@ 45mph.

anyone heard of this ? I may still have warranty available, but not sure they will honor it. I’m the second owner and the car has been running of 5w30 as well as the mods listed above.

That sounds very normal to me. In normal mode, you are normally in 7th gear by 35-40mph. It likes to shift at less than 2000 rpm. This is in normal very part throttle driving.

Are you talking foot to floor?

That's normal for normal mode shifting into 7th around there. Now if you were flooring it for a second or two and it wouldn't downshift that wouldn't be normal.

As others said this is completely normal. Auto in Normal will have you in 5th gear by 20 mph. Surprised it didn’t try to have you in 8th by then.

Ok thanks all! Seemed very odd to me to be in such high gear but from what you all are saying it must be normal. I only drive in sport anyways ?. Thank you!

It's normal. Normal mode favors using high gears for mpg. You're going to definitely be cruising in 7th/8th gear a lot in normal speeds. It's not until you give it more throttle the car would think you want torque for speed and drop it to a lower gear.

In Sport mode I use individual and set the AT to normal, but the rest Sport. It’s because 99% of the time I drive in Sport mode while manually paddle shifting… unless I’m cruising behind grandpa or residential area where I would use auto mode..
