Hey guys! I'm loving my car, but I have an issue. I'm barely over 6'1" and would like to be able to move my seat back further, but the back of the seat hits the aluminum body brace behind the seats. Does anyone else have this issue? Has anyone that has installed an aftermarket body brace/harness bar noticed extra room behind the front seat afterward? I noticed the Cusco appears to have additional room, but I can't really tell from pictures or video that I've found online.

Do you have crazy long legs or something? I'm 6'3 and have plenty room.

I gotta throw this out there...this is one of the first forums I've been a member of (a lot) where people are not vicious and can take light jokes with a laugh. Cheers Supramkv.

Seriously though, I would be interested in an option that allowed more recline...good for times when the ole' girl gets heated.

I asked this same question last year. I think somebody said the seat literally stops where the rear alum brace is at. When I recline mine it looks like it’s resting on it. Just a few inches will make all the difference in the world. Lol haha ?

I little bit of track time and classroom had me change me seating position completely. I now sit much more upright and fatter to the front. It took a day or two to get used to it, but now I prefer it and it seems to clearly improve performance driving.

Anyway, you might be quite happy with your position and maybe even if you tried a new seating, you might not like it. I’ll note that I’m 6’1” and I’m nowhere near touching the back brace.

it seems to be a brace in name only. Tubular sheet metal posing as a brace, wanting to be a brace, but not really a branch. Perhaps you could remove it?

The brace can be removed, however, its not the brace that stops the seat from going back anymore. Its the speakers that are right behind the seat that actually stops it and is where it is hitting. Removing the OEM brace or replacing it with an aftermarket will not make for more room unfortunately.

I’m 6’2” and fat as fuck. I still have plenty of room in relation to the brace. But that could be because my legs are like 2 feet long.:hmm:
Many people are like, “Dude, you can’t be that fat to sit inside the Supra.”

They would be wrong: I have an e50 custom tune with a catless DP just to make stock numbers given the drag I put on the car.
