Gears Not Engaging 2023 6MT - Really need some help here

If it was clutch release bearing, would it just fry the clutch completely having been driven for 2k miles?

If the clutch weren't engaging fully, then yes. But you seem to be having the opposite issue. Your problem would be extra wear on the synchros.

Not sure if this adds to diagnosis but turned the car on today, gears go in smoothly while parked. Very hesitant to drive the car though obviously.
Thinking of driving to the end of the block and seeing if it happens again. Live on a dead end so I’m somewhat comfortable testing a little. Any thoughts?

Maybe ask a buddy to come over to help you push, just in case.

Just ruling things out. Again, I'd be rolling back into the super duper workshop and asking them to take a look. Since it was the last modification done, it makes sense to start there. No matter how unlikely you think it is, the chances of poor workmanship/part quality are never zero.

I’ve only seen problematic clutches on all the “research” I’ve done on this thing.

Not all research leads to your conclusions.

Agreed with taking it back to this shop, since this is obviously an install-related problem. But it's still fun to do the detective work, in the mean time.

Agreed with taking it back to this shop, since this is obviously an install-related problem. But it's still fun to do the detective work, in the mean time.

If it was install related… how would you (or anyone else willing to add their 2 cents) deal with that? Never dealt with such a situation before. Let’s say if the clutch is truly fried.

I feel like I wouldn't drive it, I think you're finding good info on what it does or doesn't do to help diagnose it, but it hasn't fixed itself.

Does it kind of act how it would act if you didn't push in the clutch pedal at all? Say you started the car (on a normal day), and tried to put it in gear without stepping on the clutch pedal. Basically it'd resist (to a point, I guess you could force it).

If it kind of acts that way I wonder next if it's something equivalent to the pedal not getting pushed in? I know you do push in the pedal, but maybe the next couple of actions that would normally happen, aren't happening. Slave cylinder dead, or massive amounts of air in the line, something like that.

Exactly that. It acts as if the clutch isn’t being pressed at all. Fully locked out of all gears when on.

Car has been sitting since Friday and now when turned on it goes into all gears but I’m assuming if I drive it around the problem will return.

Brake and clutch do feel normal though. No sinking, no unusual softness. Feels fine as far as I can tell.
