I’ve had mine for 2 days and found out it can’t be tuned so I thought about trading it.... I’m quite mad about this but I do love the car and plan to wait and see if anyone cracks it. But I think this contributes a little to people trading them.

Also - A lot of "collectors" bought this car with the intention to sell, thinking it would be a good investment and return. Since it was the long-awaited reintro of the classic Toyo model. That game is always gong on.

I've had 3 Porsches - no complaints on any of them, but this car for me is just a good and in some ways better - esp maintenance costs! :)

I had my 21 Supra for six months. It was having a few electrical issues that would pop up randomly but in in all honesty I fell for the hype. After three months I tried to convince myself to keep it. Another three months later and I just chose to get rid of it. It was a fun car when pushed but overall I lost enough interest in the Supra for me to sell it while it still retain some value.

I also talked to two previous owners and they said something similar as well.

I’ve been buying and selling sports cars for 30+ years, and this is just the way it is. Many people have deep pockets and just want the latest and greatest and then move on after a year or less the next thing. Some people don’t have deep pockets but just flip cars anyway.

I‘m guilty of it. In the past four years I’ve owned a C7 Z51, ND Miata, Gt350, and an SS1LE. I made money on every single one though (all but used but the Camaro in dead of winter in New England then sold in Summer). Supra is going to be a new purchase because used prices make zero sense.

That's how it is with a lot of these spots and performance cars. Nobody keeps these things past 6 months or a year. Same thing with exotic cars as well, either use them as an investment tool or play with it until boredom. Realizing this has made these kinds of cars become pointless IMHO.

REALLY??????

My last 2-seater had over 50K mi before I had to let it go (marriage, kids, you get it....). With the Supra, no worries as no longer married and kid is 20yrs old.....LOL. I only have 500 mi on the ODO and plan on putting 50K + on this or trade it for a new one in a couple of years. Little nuances are there for sure....Ok with the forward visibility and lack of hatch button.

My issue in this car is "left" turns at a stop light because the huge side mirrors block my view especially when left turn has to negotiate a median.....My fix, just before taking off from the light, I press the button to fold the mirrors in which clears my view and AWESOME thing about this car is that once the car starts going straight again, the mirrors unfold on their own!!!!!!!! Did not expect that when i tried it the first time.....pretty "pimp" move when cars behind me see the mirrors unfold on their own.....

LUV THIS CAR!!!!!!

I'm with max here.

Kept my FR-S for 6 years because there was no other car within my budget that excited me enough to trade it for.....until the Supra made an appearance, that is.

I don't have a need for SUV's/CUV's, sport sedans don't excite me and muscle cars even less so.
I don't see myself getting rid of it in the short/mid term and when I do trade it in, it will most likely be another RWD sports car.....a targa hopefully.....with a Toyota badge......and the Supra name.....?

I wondered about selling, mainly because it is frustrating with rocks from truck tires etc., and parking lots. But I really enjoy and like the car. I have an FJ Cruiser that get most of the use. And with sliders on the side, if someone slams their door open, they get a slider dinging it an my FJ is fine. Around 4500 miles after 1.5 years of ownership. I am 71, and no issues getting in and out. That is for whiners. I learned to drive in a 47 Willys jeep. And people complain about small things like they deserve better. Open your eyes when you buy. I enjoy the Supra a lot.

Didn't learn to drive on one but drove many when I first joined the MARINE CORPS. The Marines got the "hand-me-downs" from the Army and it was prior to the 1st gen HUMMER replacing them.......

MARINE CORPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAUUUHHHHH!!!!!! (sounds better than it spells....LOL)))

So many people these days buy by the hype, no matter the car, again many people with deep pockets who really don't know the car going in or just don't care to. Hell I was in a Jag dealer looking at a '14 F-type S new and a guy just walked in and bought the F-type R on the show room floor never even getting in it to test drive, never even been in one before. I'm still holding off on one, still want one, but also picked up a few weeks ago an E86 Z4 coupe. The car history is amazing, and sad that the 2 previous owners didn't drive it more. 1st owner 2 year lease 2nd owner had it from 09 to a month ago, 30k total miles on it. The thing I love about it are perfect opposed to the 2 biggest MKV complaints. The top window sill you don't have to duck to prevent knocking your head, and visibility is far better than a MKV. Again still want one, but still holding off, least for now.

i AM 5-9 so getting in/out not bad and front view is not a problem especially with my seating position which is as low as the seat will go.....love that position (what she said....lol). Anyone 5-11 and above probably won't like this car.....
