Definitely going to be apart of the bad batch, prior to GESI screwing everyone, and I mean a lot of people, AA's failure rate was less than 1%. AA will replace it under warranty for you, just reach out and ask for Rob or Alan.
Thanks Phillip. Glad to see you're still active on here despite being Supra-less and taking delivery of that shiny new Porsche of yours ?

I bought the v3 AA catted DP from Phillip. I’ve had it installed about 10 days now…a whopping total of 60 miles and have had no CEL (yet)

I yanked it off and the stock exhaust at the same time. Paired the AA DP to an SP1R….it was a fun install and not something I had ever done on my own before.

I run the MAP performance downpipe which supposedly has the same GESI cat as AA. The CEL has probably popped about 4-5 times in 4k miles. It goes away after a couple drives. At first I cared...now I don't. Though when it gets a tune I won't complain about never seeing the CEL suddenly turn on and if it does I'll know its actually something to be concerned about.

When the cel starts flashing that's when I worry about it. ? ? ?

I've seen it on FW website for awhile, ~6 months-ish.

I haven't seen anyone with a Kenji dp say they got a CEL, but have seen many posts where people use other defoulers and get a CEL.

So I'm thinking the FW defouler is pretty good?
i just pre ordered a kenji, gonna go catless and take out my aa catted. hoping no cel

Hey guys, I’ve had my Active Autowerke Catted Downpipe installed for a little over 6 months now. The first four months I had it, a CEL popped up twice and I cleared the codes. No big deal despite their no CEL Guarantee. Well now, I’m getting a CEL every 3rd or 4th drive. Same codes each time.

I’m going to be reaching out to AA to see if mine was part of the bad production batch but I’m wondering if anybody else is running into this issue with an increase in frequency of the CEL as time has gone on with their downpipes.

My car is not tuned, is a Manual with the only other “performance” mode being an HKS intake and AWE Resonated Touring exhaust.

Thanks in advance for chiming in.

The chassis function limited notification is a whole ‘nother point of annoyance?. BMW Gremlins ?

Yes. I see it more often on mine now. I have a 23 Manual Transmission. My son has a 2021 Automatic Trans. and he's seeing more CEL's as well. Both Active Autowerke. Purchased around the same time.

Strange , might be the new batch , as my AA has been on the car for 2 years and not a single cel popped up
Did you install it yourself or have a shop do it?

Had my AA catted and Dinan exhaust on for about 8k miles ~18 mo with no cel. 8 track days and installed myself. This will probably jinx it now…

Oh man lucky you, that's going to be my setup as well. Still waiting for my SP1R tho :(

Not to hijack the thread but do you have some sound clips? This is the exact setup I’m considering

I did it myself on a quickjack
Very simple install
Less than 40 mins
Holy Quick Jack! That is cool but also pricey. I am still looking for jack stands or the best way to get the car in the air for oil changes that won’t set me back around 2k. Nice set up though! ?

Still no word from AA which is disappointing because I have heard good things about their customer service. I just followed up with them. Hoping for a response soon.
