So I watched a video on youtube yesterday of a Supra racing a couple of Mustangs. In the beginning of the video, at around 0:50, he does a sound check. I own a '22 3.0, so when I heard him rev the Supra, it sounded to me like it was in Normal instead of Sport. I commented to tell him Sport sounds much better. He insisted it was in Sport, then another person claimed that the manual doesn't burble like the auto. Is that true?

I heard burbles…

Edit: … and watched more losers.

The 6MT only has really audible burbles council house, metal bin thrown down concrete stairs, anti-lag noises once it's stage 2'd... and at that point anyone with a shred of taste has removed that artificial bullshit!

Thats correct, 6MT has less burbles. I'm too old to appreciate fart noises so I have turned them off completely on my car.
Interesting. That's good to know.

How did you turn off the burbles? Is it possible with Bimmercode?

Why get a sports car that sounds like a Camry... Burbles and pops are definitely good for the soul.

The only time I'm in normal mode is when I'm stealthily driving out of my community early weekend mornings. I'm told I'm invisible.

I'm all for naturally pops, bangs, rumbles and flames on the overrun - but the ridiculous levels of artificial pops & bangs are just shit and trying to make up for a total lack of character in the cars exhaust notes.

MTs absolutely do burble and pop on a stock tune 😂 Get a downpipe if you want to hear them.

No, either a tune or leave it in normal mode.
Ah. Nah, I like the responsiveness of Sport mode. Normal feels "laggy" to me. I also wouldn't want to permanently tune them out.

My MT burbles/pops on the stock tune, and with stock exhaust in sport mode. Unless you're really pushing it, you only get burbles more than anything. The burbles/pops I find on the MT cars are more dependant on how you're driving the car as opposed to just trying to burble/pop as much as possible all the time.

Which is kinda nice imo because it means you don't sound like a 🤡 with your exhaust popping while driving through a neighbourhood in 2nd gear.

I'll admit that, when I first had my '20, I used to get a kick from getting it up to 72km/h in 3rd, downshift into 2nd, and unleash the 21 gun salute.

Much prefer the MT with my melon cannon exhaust for really deep throaty burbles.

24 MT.

I get burbles all the time and I'm completely stock motor wise. Most notable after more spirited driving, or in 1st gear letting off the throttle after being around 3k rpm.

Just the right amount to me. Enough to make aggressive driving fun, but not so much that I feel like all the obnoxious BMWs

Same, 24 MT. Burbles at 3-4k with loud and obnoxious pops at redline. They stop as soon as you depress the clutch.

manuals do burble. specifically; downshift 2nd to 1st at slow speed, getting off gas around 6k rpm, and the gunshot special, use iMT, get to 55mph in 3rd, downshift to 2nd, and enjoy the pops and bangs.
