My first "real" car, I bought it yesterday!

I lived in Dayton, Nevada years ago. I had a 1990 AWD turbo Eclipse. Great car. White. I polished with carnauba was on a regular basis and had it for 20 years. I had to use a cover as I had no garage and we got wind, dust, rain, snow, and when I sold it, the guy looked at it (a body shop owner), and said, damn, this looks new! He didn't even drive it but listened to it. It purred and was very responsive and fast. It would peg the speedometer at 5000 feet. Anyway, away it went.

Please, tell us more about your 1990 AWD turbo Eclipse...

Manual transmission, dropped a new engine in it in 2009 because unknowingly I used a K&N air filter and it ruined the engine. The mechanic I used to check the engine showed me all the parts and how they were really worn, even though I had changed the oil every 5000 miles he looked at me and said don't ever use that type of air filter again and then showed me all the dust that had gotten past it, even though the housing sealed the filter well and I also kept the filter clean and use the K&N oil was needed for it. He said the only thing that he would use that filter on was his race cars and that's because it gave them more power but also because he's the one that would tear down the engines to rebuild them and that had to be done anyway. But with a new engine, I had increased power, of course and a wonderful acceleration.
