Has there been an official statement of what we're getting that I missed?Just a reminder we won't be getting the FE in the USA. Just the "Partially upgraded".
Did you guys see that they replaced this engine brace with a thicker machined piece for more rigidity?Looks like many upgrades but the same old tin can strut bars. I guess they had to keep the price under $100K.

"toyota global newsroom" is a great source, if you ever want to use it for future cars, etc.Has there been an official statement of what we're getting that I missed?
seems like I was the only one that noticed during the initial press release that the aftermarket hasn't done dickDid you guys see that they replaced this engine brace with a thicker machined piece for more rigidity?

upgraded front cowl brace is interesting. as far as I know, no aftermarket pieces exist for those.
It might be using the brace that comes on the M cars. A lot of the M340i guys upgrade to it. I always wondered if it fit the Supra.Did you guys see that they replaced this engine brace with a thicker machined piece for more rigidity?

It's weird an aftermarket company hasn't made this piece, seems like low hanging fruit.
Amazing how nobody cared until Toyota added it as part of a minor upgrade. Looks like Toyota were trying to find something relatively unique instead of just putting a colour coded Blitz bar to try and justify another price increase. ?It's weird an aftermarket company hasn't made this piece, seems like low hanging fruit.

i would say it depends. if all holes are planar you can probably whip something up for a send-cut-send billet piece reasonably cheap. if the holes aren't planar, billet gets way more expensive since you need to start from a much bigger workpiece, and you need to drill at an tilted axis (time on the 5-axis is more expensive). Or, you need to bend something from sheet steel, but in that case the stiffness change would be questionable (unless you happen to have access to a stamping press).it's not that hard to make your own if you want to
