Hi: I'm a New member. I just picked up a '22 A91-CF from what I now see, is from a stealership, and didn't notice until I got home (in my excitement) that it was missing the rear CF spoiler. I looked at the window sticker, and it said "X6. FSA spoiler install delay letter" I contacted the dealership, and they said the factory had them back ordered but that they did not charge me for the spoiler. I was not made aware that was the case when I negotiated the deal (the Supra was still in transit at the time). I asked them if, when they become available, they will install the OEM CF spoiler for free. Best I could find on Google search was that the OEM CF spoiler runs around $2000. I paid a heavy premium for the CF (but it's like I tell myself, what do I expect for being a sucker for the CF, the dealer is gonna gouge me, because they know I am overly interested :/ ). Anyway, So far I haven't heard back probably since it's Labor Day weekend. I'm interested in what others would do in this situation. Thanks for your input.

Is there anything in writing in your sales documents that specifically say the spoiler was NOT included and that you were not charged for it? If there is, then that is probably the dealer's escape clause for not putting one on for you.

I seem to recall the 2021 A91's having a similar issue with spoiler availability problems.

Correct. The 21 a91 edition had that issue too. Some got others didnā€™t.
If it was me Iā€™d look for an aftermarket CF spoiler. Easy to install and way way cheaper.
Iā€™m sure you can get one that looks like the oem one

Yep. It's one of the reasons (plus the $10k markup) I didn't go with a '21 A91 over a Premium. They were missing bits due to supply constraints. The spoiler was one of them.

I bought two of them at MSRP during that time. I am glad the spoiler wasn't included as it is drilled into the trunk

Two OEM spoilers (that you have to drill through the trunk to mount)? If you still have one unused would you be interested in selling it? Drilling the trunk doesn't bother me - I find it preferable. My car is going into the body shop soon for some work and it's just one more thing to add to the list.

Two options if it was me:

1. It is an A91-CF. Aside from the VIN and lack of heads-up-display, youā€™re just paying extra for a body kit. I really hope you got a good deal if you are missing 1 of 4 pieces that makes the kitā€¦

2. Throw a big wing on there or do something interesting. I havenā€™t seen anyone do anything interesting (modification-wise) with their CF edition yet.

Thanks ya'll. Nothing in writing. Agreed, I think if I had to do it over again, I would go with a premium A91 and forego the premium paid on the CF. The only advantage is the VIN and that there were only 600 made, which may or may not help hold its value in the future. Unfortunately, there is no identifier like in the '20 Launch additions to show it's one of the 600. My plan is to keep it stock (except brakes and brake fluid and rims tires) and track it (novice) for a year or 2, then go with another platform or a future Supra. ...And look at forums like this to get more pre-purchase info... Lesson learned.

I wanted to give an update on the missing spoiler in case any other members encounter the same experience with any missing part from the factory on their Supra.

The dealer ended up following up with Toyota. I called their 800 Toyota Customer Experience Line, and I was assigned a BAE or "Brand Engagement Advocate " to make sure this issue was resolved. I was then transferred to a Parts Delay Specialist who researched the matter. I am so impressed with Toyotas handling of this situation. Everything was handled within 24 hours! Between the dealer and myself reaching out to Toyota it ended up that the part is ordered free of charge, and the dealer will install it at no charge. It's good to know one can reach out to Toyota and actually speak and work with a human being.

Many are missing the entire CF body kit, the complete CF car may be a lot rarer than everyone realizes right now. Iā€™ve seen dozens of them without spoilers and body kits. Many white ones, a couple phantom. Iā€™ve yet to see a yellow without the kit as the yellow seems to be the least desired of the 3 based on the market Iā€™ve followed. Follows by phantom and white was by far the hardest to get for me. I was completely set and wasnā€™t changing my mind. Itā€™s sad Stealerships are selling the incomplete A91-CF to unsuspecting customers for over A91-CF sticker and they are rolling out with a Carbon Fiber edition without carbon, REALLY shady.

Donā€™t forget the a91cf edition has the red interior as well.
Correct. The only missing items Iā€™ve seen is the CF wing or the entire 7 piece CF body kit. I saw one dealer add the carbon spiked on an add it as a dealer installed option to one of them even,.. The matte black forged wheels and interior are in the cars that went thru the assembly line incorrectly.

i have spoken to dealerships all over the country with the cars they purchased fromToyota at a deep discount and are passing them off as A91-CF. I was informed this effected many of the 600, Iā€™ve easily counted up over 100 examples Iā€™ve seen in 2022 since I started patrolling for mine. A few of the dealers told me Toyota had 2 manufacturers making the CF parts so the kits could vary slightly Depending on what manufacturer made them for Toyota. Iā€™m glad they didnā€™t allow anyone who wanted the CF kit to be able to drop 10k to dilute what is still the rarest special edition to date in the US. The MT & CF editions will be highly sought after years down the road and the 2024+ A91-ST (Sport Top / Targa) would be a huge success if it drops. My wife is patiently waiting for that news.

move seen 2020 LE Supras missing the red interior and the carbon dash inserts and motor caps or one to several items.

move also seen the 2021 A91 Editions without the spiders.

Dealers shouldnā€™t be .passing off incomplete variations of a special edition without informing their customers. Iā€™d be absolutely livid if I dropped 70k on a car; later only to find out my special edition is incomplete and the dealer knew it but tried to hide it from me.

Update on my A91 ā€“ CF with the missing rear spoiler. After three months, the dealer called me up and said the wing was available. I brought it in. They installed it when I went to pick it up. It was actually an ABS wing. They gave me some excuse that it had to do with missed order of the part number and supply chain issues and that Toyota was hesitant to send out the Carbon Fiber spoiler, which is probably BS. Anyway, they re-ordered the part which should only take a few days to get. I havenā€™t heard for them in about 10 days. The dealer did say they would resolve the problem and get the spoiler and get it installed so Iā€™m being patient. After looking at the window sticker and confirming with the VIN. it is one of the 600 CF additions. However, I did notice that there are no Carbon Fiber mirror caps. Iā€™m not really sure if that was part of the Carbon Fiber package. I canā€™t find any info on this. And yeah hopefully Iā€™ve paid for a model that will increase in value in many years ahead.

I would tell anyone who is running into the same problem to contact Toyota customer engagement center. Persistently follow up with them and the dealership.

The mirror caps are not part of the package but they are a factory and dealer add on accessory.

The Stealership was hoping you wouldnā€™t notice the wing Was ABS and they could save money. If they are resolving they are eating the cost. Toyota already provided the dealership with deep discounts on tne incorrextly built cars. Be very glad you didnā€™t buy the one with $10lk+ in carbon missing. They knew before selling the car the spoiler was MIA and tried pulling a fast one. Iā€™m sure they didnā€™t even offer to remove the cost of the wing on the purchase up front.

if someone is calling Toyota after the fact they wonā€™t pay for anything and all you can do is report the dealership for shady practices and Iā€™d only do that after youā€™ve exhausted all attempts to get the car as it should have been or disclosed as incomplete up front.

There are currently 12 used listings for an A91-CF in the US. 7 of the 12 are not even limited edition cars but are listed as such.

Yea CF mirror caps are an additional cost option on the CF edition, which literally makes me laugh out loud.
