Yep! I got word today mine was on hold.
Mine has been on my inspection hold for 7 days now.
Anybody here from Sacramento and getting an LE car from one of the dealers in town? If so, do any of the local dealers have it in their showrooms yet?
As far as I know, none have been delivered west of Texas.
Here we are a day later from the last update from Toyota where my car was clear and arriving next week, to now having no news and all the dates of arrival disappearing from the dealer’s system. And the beat goes on...
My dealer called last night saying they secured a Premium Turbulence Grey and asked if I would be interested. I really wanted a Phantom Matte Grey. The vehicle is to arrive sometime in the next two weeks. Gonna have to make a decision on color now which I was hoping to avoid. When I asked about the Phantom Matte Grey they said the color is a bit more difficult to get; not sure what that means.
I would think twice about owning a car with matte paint. Personally, I am 50/50 on the look -- it's incredible in some cases -- but the maintenance/detailing issues would probably bother the heck out of me. Scratches and other damage can't just be polished out like you can do on a shiny finish. You will need to be extremely anal about avoiding problems, and that is tough for a car that lives in the real world. I don't know, just looks like heartache to me.
Here is my wife former 2002 MK4 on its original color. Turbulence grey looks very similar to this. You will not regret it as it will be rare. Not surprisingly, Red, White and Black are the most popular...Us launch editions does not help the matter.
Just got the call, ours is at the dealer getting PDI right now!
That's awesome! I'm wondering where mine is. My dealer is in Upstate NY
Where abouts upstate?
wow so finally the turbulence grey is coming in soon??..i really hope so because thats the color i ordered and i am watiing like crazy here in New Jersey.
