At what mileage did everyone do their first oil change?

Going to be doing my first oil change at 5k miles with Amsoil Signature 0w-20. Will do blackstone report as well and will post it up in a thread.

For the people that brought their car for their first oil change at Toyota, did the techs use the jack adapters to lift up your Supra on the lift under the sides? I am a little worried of the techs damaging the jack area. Since most of them have no clue on how to work on our cars.

I organised some oil with my local dealership for my first oil & filter change, at my cost

I have 3000kms on it now & going to do another 10-1200 this weekend going to a benchrest competition.

After checking the details with them (thanks to this thread) I figured I might as well go with the oil they will use with my scheduled services

It turned up today, here it is :)

Obliviously someone had their stuff together & got the 5 litre packs in direct from Japan

Goodness knows what its going to cost me

First black stone report on Supra. Switched to Amsoil Signature 0w-20 for second oil change will see if anything changes. Mods for most of its life are catless DP, Stg 2 tune.

I already had ramps so I just used those. The entire process took less than 15 min. I'm sure someone else here used jack stands though.
What ramps did you use? Also, if lowered, do you think the ramps would still work?

Just some cheap plastic ones...lowered wouldn’t have made a difference the way I did it. I jacked up the car and put the ramp under the wheels.

I had a low profile jack. If you are lowered, you will definitely need a low profile jack.

Getting my oil changed at 3000 km , 9 month ownership.. They didn't have the Toyota branded Synthetic oil + filter marked for the Supra. They had to order BMW B58 equivalent and got the green light from Toyota Canada so that It will follow warranty etc. Just a heads up for others LOL

Has anyone changed their oil yet? Curious to know what oil you used and how much is needed.
I changed my oil twice. The day I bought it and 3000 miles later. Both with 5-20 royal purple oil.

I changed yesterday, 2300 miles. I have used Schaeffer 5-30 oil. Used the OEM filter, I got it from Toyota, after they special ordered it in for me. I asked, how they were going to service the Supra if they didn't have the oil filter. lol They got more in.

I actually can hear a difference in the engine. Just sounds different. I used 6.5 quarts and it showed Max, right where it was from the factory.

I definitely noticed after changing the oil from the OEM shit version, my gears do shift smoother than the sluggish feel before.
