These vehicles don't utilize the mini-drum & parking shoe setup, instead using an electric actuator to twist and clamp the rear caliper piston down. Considering the strain it puts on those components, and the fact that the pads could stick to the rotor, it's just not a good thing to do on a level surface anyways.I have a feeling that it's because moisture can seize the e-brake shoes in place if the car isn't moved for quite a while..? It's metal composite on metal contact i think.. idk, that's my perspective... the car is already on flatstoppers so it wouldn't roll unless someone pushed the car off it...
