Don’t hold me to this but I think my salesman said he was able to find 200-something 2020 & 2021 Phantoms, not sure nationwide or worldwide (produced so far?) If this is close to accurate I would venture to say this will be one of the rarer if not rarest color. It will be interesting to see if they continue to offer it in future years. Right now I’m only finding 10 Phantoms nationwide on autotrader using the color as a keyword - 11 if you count a mislisted Turbulence grey.

Yea if what you said is true, even if it’s worldwide, it would be the rarest color cuz the a91 refraction blue has 500. Interesting, wish Toyota would tell us. 24 were built for japan only if you exclude the first one that went for 2.1 mil

In Nov there was 49 in the states, I can’t see it being too many more maybe 150? I can’t wait for actual numbers to come out.

How do you know? If that’s true then currently only 114 for the rest of world plus whatever is in the US

They sold it as the A90 Edition in Europe, they came with a "1/90" dash inlay, and you cannot order another matte gray one from a dealer. I have one of the 24 UK models.

Matte Grey A90 owner here. Bought mine just before summer. All this talk about how rare this color is, is making me never want to pull it out of my driveway.

Would be interested in finding out how many in Phantom A90s there are now in the US, between '20 and '21 MYs.

Mine is my daily driver, but I'm a lot less anxious about it now that the car has PPF.

Wow, I forgot about this thread.

Interesting... Since I have a Matte Grey with ppf.

Firstly, my understanding is that the ppf finish will alter the finish of your car, a gloss ppf will make matte grey gloss grey and a matte ppf will make a black car matte black for example. In the past (and currently at Toyota dealers), only gloss ppf exists which will of course ruin the look.

Secondly, OZ manual (p366) Vehicle care - matt paintwork:
- only use cleaning and care products for vehicles with matt paintwork
- work top to bottom
- use sponge/soft cloth
- for hard to remove marks use neutral detergent and rinse.
- wipe away water
- no wax or abrasive compounds

Also, the reason others and myself are applying ppf, is largely for maintenance purposes, it is much harder to maintain the matte finish than gloss. E,.g. any scratches cannot be buffed out (requires a repaint).

Finally, Photo of my car with tinting and Suntek ppf., similar lighting conditions to the earlier photo in thread I posted pre-ppf. N.b. I can update it tomorrow with a current photo with new rims, exhaust etc, but at least this shows the ppf finish.

I went full retard without PPF. All the chips hit the front bumper, not the hood or the sides, so I am "okay" with it, maybe 900 dlls in a couple years for a replacement.
