Greetings all,

I am currently the typical b58 guy (downpipe, cai, exhaust and tune) and am looking to evolve.
I'm looking to upgrade to pure800 or maybe even the pure900, I'm not really sure the pro's/cons of the 900 v 800.
Just wanting to know what other mods you guys have to support the pure800. I want a reliable setup and don't want to push everything to its max potential (that way it lasts longer/is more reliable)

I know the visconti flex fuel kit is a must, as well as port injection, LPFP and a trans tune and a pro tune, but what else am I missing?
If it makes a difference my cars tuning software is bm3. Any input is welcome, I'm a rookie to the technical side of things.

Lastly, what numbers are you putting down on your setups 93 vs E and if you don't mind ballparking me on what I should expect to pay for a pro tune.

If you want the power that the PI System + Pure 800 can give you, you will need to upgrade your transmission too.

What are your HP goals?

You can easily do 600whp with the Pure 800, upgraded HPFP and E30-35.

I wouldn’t be able to turn the torque down in the tune to avoid needing pure stage 1 trans?
I’d mostly be running 93 as the nearest ethanol fueling station near me would be in Boston and is over 90 mins not including possibly horrible city traffic. To my knowledge I’d expect low 500s on 93, does that sound accurate?

Also, what is included in the PI system?

Zero need for PI (port injection) and LPFP if you plan on running just pump gas. Save your money.

550 is easy on 93. No need for trans build at that level either.

the bigger the turbo, the more power you can make on high RPM but also the slower the spool.

pick the smallest turbo that can get you to your goal HP

Which is the main goal, I don't plan on making it a full on race car I just like knowing that I'm quicker than 99% of anything I encounter on the road.

So what you're saying is, with what I have already all I'd need is the pure800 to push 550whp?

You should look into axles as well - from what I have seen folks commenting on social media and this forum, folks with the stock turbo and ethanol tunes (500wtq) are breaking axles on the street while having fun accelerating.

Pure 800 with flex tune can do 520-600whp. You would need a flex fuel kit and MHD+, which would also need an unlock from FEMTO. I assume you already know about FEMTO unlock...

Not sure if it's just luck or others misfortune, but I haven't broken axles on the street and I'm making a good amount more than that.

Yeah I'm femto unlocked already, I'm tuned with bm3 already though, hindsight I should've gone MHD, but it'd be kinda silly to go back now.

Yes, turn down the torque to avoid an upgraded trans. This however adds on to the idea if you even need to upgrade the turbo if you don’t want to upgrade the trans.

I was debating an 800 or 900 myself. (Still am). For me, main components/concerns is that the 900 is a well made turbo, but isn’t functional with all CAI. 800 isn’t as well made, but is functional with most CAI.

Also, no t51r on the 800. :(
