I’d imagine having that massive hood vent does help evacuate a significant amount of heat. I’m also always surprised how you managed to get good oil temps and pressure.
Yea true, I alwasy forget to list that. @Islindur has a hood vent too though.

I upped my oil pressure, which ALL track supras should do. Even 100% stock fuel system Supras have VANOS deviation in the upper RPM when making more power than stock with the OEM oil pressure setpoints. OEM is approx 79psi absolute past 5k. I run 90+.

Side note, the Wagner manifold does kick ass though. Shedding nearly 300F here.
I continue to be impressed by the Wagner manifold.

Since we are talking turbos... What's the preferred turbo for ~500whp for a track setup? I am currently running a Pure 800 but I feel like the hybrid becomes a restriction (and therefore an excess heat source) at this power with track demands.
Pure 800 shouldn't be breaking a sweat around 500whp with an eth mix. The log screenshot posted above of my Supra is a Pure 800 making over 600whp.

Not that any of you need convincing, but I'm really impressed with this car's endurance on track. My friend had a Miata rental lined up, and the guy canceled on him 10pm the night before. I shared my car with him. It did 18 sessions over 2 days. 95 degrees out with many sessions back to back to back. No hiccups, no issues. What a car :)

Cylinder temps do make some difference to oil/coolant since it's in the block but not a TON.

What does your intake setup look like currently? airbox to turbo inlet.

What weight oil do you currently run? (for once not a funny question)
Speed engineering cold air inlet, Stock air box, a charge pipe, wagner IM...
5w40 Millers nano drive nt+
And yes, 777 hood vent. Was even thinking about switching to racelouvers newest Supra 4vent setup but it needs new hood +duno how much it would help...
Duno where I could gain more. Running ethanol would be that much cooler?

We have pretty much the same setup, except I don't have the speed engineering inlet. I have the whole RaceLouvers CF Extreme hood vent package, I just need to get off my ass and install it. I'm going on vacation for a bit and then running SCCA TT Nats and will install it after that. I can get some data for you on all my temps pre/post once it's installed.

Well how are Ur oil temps now? U got any ig to follow? I'd gladly see a lot of RL kit pics, considering it but wonder how it looks installed :)

No. It helps run cylinder temps run cooler but not by enough to notice it significantly in coolant or oil temps.

What do you have your coolant temp targets set to?
Honestly no idea, tuner did set it all.. could they be too high ? What do You have?
Overall even stock power stock tune i could go 140c+ on oil. Same i had with 2.0....

My instagram is @benbulthuis

My oil temps vary quite a bit based on ambient and how much boost I’m running. Without any hood vents or a cold air intake/inlet, I see around 265-270 at ~19psi and I’ve peaked at 296 at 22 psi. The 296 oil temp was with 90F ambient temps. Hot day. This is with a Wagner manifold and Verus Oil Cooler. Stock radiators, stock turbo.

I run Redline 0W-40.

Have you actually changed the oil pump or just running a thicker viscosity oil?

Are you trying to avoid deviations +-3 degrees or want it tighter?

So what U gona do about it except vents? Different turbo? 👀
I'd prob switch to RL setup but would need new hood :/

The oil pump is electronically tied into the DME. It has pressure set point tables and full PID control.

are there any corrective tables that influence oil pressure? I’ve always had oil pressure issues both with/without the Verus oil cooler and just never manage to hit oil pressure targets once oil temperature hits 260F. Currently experimenting with 5w50 to see if this helps.

Yes, the PID tables. I haven't defined them yet but they are there. I can put some hours in this week.

Oil pressure setpoint: (5500hpa = 79psi absolute)

Thank you for posting the PID tables. I didn’t realize setpoint was in absolute- I’m surprised WOT is that low for stock parameters.

I noticed that my oil pressure targets varied in my logs at similar RPM’s, so I figured that targets were dynamic- I just wasn’t sure what exactly influenced it. I was under the impression that the only user defined tables would be the setpoint, and the DME was using some kind of closed loop logic that took into account of load, oil temps, etc.

I did notice that BM3 does have channels to log P and D parameters, but I wasn’t sure how if that would be of benefit to my tuner. He thinks I just need to just get the ZTK pump
