This is perhaps a stupid question but I need to pull my calipers off to rebuild them and I don't want get air into the brake system and have to deal with triggering the ABS pump. What's the best way of preventing this assuming the calipers may be off the car for a period of a few days? Can I just screw a nut into the brake line to seal it, and if so does anyone know the size?
If OEM lines, you can clamp the hose, cap or plug the open line, always keeping the reservoir full, and bleed the brakes when done. If steel braided, you’d plug or cap the hose with a banjo bolt and copper washers, keep em upright, reservoir full & then bleed the brakes when done.

Haha I'm totally in the middle phase, had phase 1 with 2.0, good times (aimgain wing, frp front lip, df numbers who?). I'm hoping all this aero change will transition to lap times tho :D
Data and knowledge is power tho ;)

Will write here how all new aero setup compares to basic stuff i have now so someone may benefit 1day. But thats 2026..

Get the little rubber caps meant to cap off vacuum lines and put them over the end of the brake line. Zip tie it closed to prevent any leakage, then set them generally upright so any bubbles stay at the top. I've done that method a lot on my cars when they would have to sit for more than a few minutes with the brake lines undone.

If you don't have those caps or want to go cheaper, sandwich bags also work.

It’s the fastest track in the southeast US in terms of average MPH iirc. It’s all sweepers except one straight so it’s more of a drivers track.
I would argue CMP is more of a drivers track but I think it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

I wouldn't disagree there, I like CMP more than Roebling overall. The kink is a fun element.

What is it about Roebling Road that has you so high on it? Personally, I love elevation change in a race track. That's why I like Barber.
I don't think it's an amazing track, but I do think it's worth a visit. Because of the constant sweepers, you can get a REALLY good feel for lateral G limit and push it right to the edge and then dial it back and learn how to be on a knife's edge of grip. It pushed me over the threshold over 1 click off to full TC off.

Having close to 1,400 laps there now vs a single day at RRR, I'm obviously going to be biased lol.

There's a lot of tracks I really enjoy, and very few that I wouldn't go back to. Like, I wouldn't travel back to Grattan since I live in the SE, but it was fun to drive while I was there on One Lap. I'd kind of lump RRR or NCCAR into that group where it's fun if you're close enough to get there and back in a day, but I wouldn't really travel to it. CMP, Road Atlanta, VIR, Pitt Race, Hedge Hollow, Barber, AMP, Mid-Ohio (but not Nelson Ledges lol) are all ones I would spend a weekend to make an event there.

I would agree with this. It's a good testing track, but as power increases it gets a lot more boring. RRR is a great track for sub 400 whp with aero, or sub 300 whp without aero lol

Like someone else said below it's fastest average speed track in the Southeast. Yes there is minimal elevation change but the speed is fantastic. I always say each track teaches you a new component. Roebling teaches you about living on the slip angle. Being right on the edge of grip at very high speed.

CMP is all about slow corners and managing traction to exit. Roebling is a grass roots track, it doesnt carry the history or facilities as something Sebring, Road Atlanta, Barber etc. But its a great testing track and is usually very cheap to run with any organization.

My s2000 only makes 240whp and it beats almost every car in TT with NASA. So I can agree that the sweet spot for RRR is medium horsepower, sticky tires, aero and a good suspension.

Don't get me wrong, I love Barber and all the rest of those. My home track is Sebring so I understand getting excited about elevation change lol

No love for Nelsons Ledges? I'm surprised. It's also a very fast track, not a whole lot different than RR. I find it super fun. The facilities are crap tough, I'll give ya that.

Back in like 2009/2010 I used to know some of the HART guys. They would rent out NL for a day to test various cars and then reach out to their friends asking if they wanted incredibly cheap track time to help offset their rental costs. I would take them up on it every so often and it was basically open lapping days for like $80-$100. No sessions, just...go out when you're ready and come in when you're out of fuel.

It was/is a fun track, but the surface combined with the facilities (bathrooms are a IYKYK situation) made it a solid "if you're in the area already" type track, but not something I'd travel 10 hours to run.

It's fun, and I really liked the carousel. The kink was fun in some of the cars I drove there also, but there was a dip off the racing line just before the kink so you had to make SURE you were done passing by then. The last time I was there was in 2023 and other than removing a lot of trees it was more or less the same.

Hallet, RRR, Nelson Ledges, WWTR (Gateway Motorsports Park), and to some extent Charlotte Motor Speedway are all tracks that I think are fun, but just not worth a ton of towing time to get to. I only run Charlotte because it's 2 hours away, and I'd only go back to RRR because it's 2.5 hours the other way. That said, I'd still have fun while I was there.

I raced Nelson Ledges in a number of different cars... in fact, I think I did it at least once or twice in every different race car I owned. It's a fun track and it has (or had, I haven't been there in 30 years) lots of run off everywhere. But virtually no elevation change.

If I had to pick an unknown favorite, it would be Waterford Hills out northwest of Detroit. When I started there, back in 1980, a club race weekend got you 1 practice, 2 qualifying and 3 races; all for $35. And it's got some elevation change. I'd describe it as MidOhio with just one short straight.

It's always been a cheap track day experience. I remember 25 years ago or so, doing a couple events there for about $100. I was young and didn't know what I was doing, but it was cool to get on track regardless. They repaved it in 2018 I think? There have been several other additions. New curbing, a couple garages, the paddock area isn't gravel anymore. I totally get what you are saying about it not being a travel destination. It's only an hour from my place, so I go pretty often.

Sounds like me and Sebring... sort of. I go there to watch the 12 Hour and the January SCCA race weekend. I even go do a track day there ever so often. But it's far from my favorite track. It's flat, it's bumpy and it has lots of different surfaces... oh, and some concrete walls. But then it does have two huge straights where top speeds are crazy fast.
