I would just install an OLM F1 4th brake instead. Much less hassle and brighter than OEM.

Darn I was hoping they wouldn't use any wire taps. A fuse tap would have been easier at that point and no damage to oem wires.
It's because you have to tap into the third brake light power coming from the module under the headliner to sync with the third brake light. I wouldn't really market their solution as a PNP harness though. You can just buy the pin that I linked in my post above and add the wire yourself.

Every time I see a wire tap I start to dry heave. If they used a connector that went in series with the stock harness that would be much better than a wire tap.

I solder all my electrical wire connections, screw doing work twice when cheap taps fail.

Yeah but using a fuse tap would have still gotten the same power input so things would have remained in sync. Although I have yet to find the correct fuse so they might have been in a similar situation and tapped the wire for that reason. Not sure if you or anyone else might know which is the correct one but the diagrams I've seen aren't clear enough.

I'm right there with you ? . A connector in series is what I thought they used until I saw the video. I'll have to do some digging around if I end up doing that cuz I couldn't find the fuse. I'd rather avoid having to take out so many pieces off if I'm still going to have to route the wire through the fuse box area anyways.

As far as I'm aware, there no fuse specifically for the 4th brake light and power comes from the controller under the headliner.

After years of procrastination, I have finally installed my euro brake light. Had my harness all soldered and using OEM connectors so that I can always unplug it resulting in no damage on the OEM harness.

Any chance you'd be willing to make another one of those harnesses and sell it 😅😅

I am planning to do a small batch of these harnesses since I ordered the connectors in bulk. DM me and I will add you on my list as I have a couple of members from my local Norcal GR Supra community who has asked for it in the past. :D

Made a V2 of the harness for my friends car. This version is connected to both of the taillights which allows the 4th light to come on when signaling both directions and also hazard. For those who have already reached out to me about the harness, hoping to get these all made in the next couple of weeks and will most likely check if you want the V1 or V2
