I'm really curious to see someone running the AD09 on track in the Supra. They seem to be a reduced grip/longer life 200tw.
Lap times were actually faster than AO52 so not very reduced grip. Definitely a contender would like to see how it stacks up in the Grassmotorsports comparison

I haven’t driven on a street tire at the track for a while but when the ad08’s came out they were the fastest tire at the time. Amazing sidewalls on that tire, gave great driver feedback.

Not a Corvette.

What. That is not correct. What test are you referencing? Are you referencing the Tire Rack test where they didn't know how to drive the A052?

I would trust that as far as I could throw the editor of that story. Either way, the AD09 was still slower than the A052 in that test. The AD09 had the same avg lap time as the Conti Force, and that is an Enduro tire easily 2+ secs off the Super200 front runners.

I used the AD08 for a year or so. Def mid pack at best and get greasy super fast.

Okay.... I'm seriously considering doing 2 days at Watkins Glen with SCDA at the end of August. I had lunch with 3 instructors and they were really selling it to me.

My wife is interested in going so she can have a mini-vacation too.

It would dig into funds for coilovers a little because I would probably need another set of tires, but it seems like it's a lot of fun.

I should add that my next set of tires will be another set of V730s. This tire just keeps impressing me. I wish they made 40 aspect ratio 275s, but other than that I can't say enough good things about them.

Watkins Glenn ? Rumor on the street is that’s one of the top tracks in America, if not the best ?

Where in the world is Wes?
And looks like Wes was at the stables ?

In no world is the RT660 an enduro tire. They are like most of the other Super 200's. Heat turns them to mush. Perhaps you are thinking of the Falken RT615?

This chart might help you out:

How accurate do you think that time trial pace? For me 1) heat tolerance 2) wear = price 3) pace (if accurate) would serve me best. Maxxis, Kuhmo ? and Nankang looking good. I’ve heard a lot of great feedback with Kuhmos. Interesting….

won't be disappointed @watkins glen. also, those blue walls coming at you faster than you'd like.

I spent yesterday at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park with SCDA. Beautiful weather in the low 80s, sunny, light wind...a perfect summer day.

I managed to shave about 2 seconds from my previous PB yesterday. I'm really getting into the groove at this track with my car. It's definitely my "home track" as it's just over an hour from my house.

The car is running great, but I'm getting a weird intermittent parking brake warning. I noticed it a few weeks ago on my way to work after my last track day, but hadn't seen it again. Well yesterday it was going off every couple of laps. I'm going to pop the wheels back off and try to figure it out.

Dang that sounds beautiful!

Temp on my Mazda dash yesterday ?

Sometimes the warnings are unrelated. Hopefully your rear pads & calipers are fine. Do the calipers pistons ever get stuck? Just thinking out loud. Or need high temp grease? Most of my codes have been heat or suspension related.

This isn’t you but I have seen someone flip their pads (put them on backwards). Luckily he never got on track and could tell right away

I was at CMS yesterday. I did a track walk with the driving coach then some lead follows and finally some hot laps trying a few new lines. It was hot track temps high but very very helpful. It also is so nice that my Novice solo grp only has like 4-5 cars in it per session.

Florida is no joke!

I honestly think it's a loose connector. It doesn't seem like the parking brake motors are too sensitive to heat. We'll see.

Backwards pads!? That's a new one. ?
