Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting here so I will be glad to have your opinion on this matter. Toyota dealership rep called me today saying you can have the 2020 supra for about 47K USD (Clearance offer as he stated). And I did deposit money before for the reservation of 2021 supra which will cost me 53K USD. Both have the same warranty period which is 60K miles or 3 Years (whichever comes first). Also some other offers such as Maintenance Service until 44K miles for 4K USD and extended warranty (Which applies for both 2020 and 2021). I am assuming that the 2020 is ECU Locked, so I wouldn't bother about trying to tune it for the time being hopefully until its being unlocked. If you ask for my plan later on for the car. I might have mods to obtain about 650HP~700HP and that's it.

Waiting for your honest opinions
Best regards ā™„

i would try and buy the cheapest car you can find new if the warranty is the same. 700HP takes the same mods either way if its a 20 or 21. $6k difference is huge IMO, but I would make sure your option packages are the same and also if you're considering the 21 check the ECU date if you are planning to tune. For a 21 model, ECU date needs to be before 6/1/2020

All things being equal I think the 2020 is the easy decision. The 2020 ECU is not locked, so a quick tune will get you some cheap power if you want.

Thanks guys for your honest recommendations, just got a brand new 2020 supra yellow for 47k USD with free package of (60k miles of service, 3 years of warrenty, gardx ceramic, 3M tinting)

It was the last car in stock so I got lucky with getting it in the last minute (another customer care after 5 minute of reserving the car)

Can't wait for adding some mods to the car but rly having fun with as it is right now.

Best Regards

I paid 45 plus fees for my 21 from don jacobs Toyota shipped to california. Iā€™m not sure if they still have ones for that cheap but itā€™s worth asking.

Here, there is no more supras in the dealerships 2020 nor 2021, they told me recently the 2021 will arrive in August which will cost around 54K USD and that's 7 grand extra (Saved for mods later on)

you paid 45 for a 3.0? or a 2.0, OP also picked up my yellow 3.0 premium for around 47k a couple months ago

I paid $48k for my 2020 in October of last year. I'm surprised there's any 2020s left. Tell them you'll take it for $46k. I never accept the first offer.

that's an amazing deal
Yeah, I waited a few months to get the deal. I was surprised they knocked off 1,000$ and shipped it here open case for free. Though it came dirty as hell and smelt like a barn :/. Had some hardcore detailing to do.
