Probably trying to remember whose turn it is to pay for lunch dinner at Olive Garden.
Hey - it's just a matter of time before we don the jorts and new balance as we struggle to get out of our corvettes after our third back surgery. Hopefully at that point can still do unlimited salad and bread sticks ? at the Olive.

I was only ever interested in this car with a manual transmission, so imagine how happy I was to learn that it would indeed be available with a manual. But then I learned that I couldn't spec the car how I wanted one and place a factory order, so I was left looking for my spec at dealerships, but that proved pretty much impossible to find. So I basically gave up because I'm not willing to buy a car that isn't my perfect spec. Every other enthusiast car I've ever purchased is something that I ordered and waited for, but I can't do that with a Supra, so Toyota isn't getting my money.
How would you order it if you could

wow that guy was full of shit! 1200 dealers makes my math even worst per dealer. Supra's are hard to find and it is a killer car, I hope no one disagree's with that!
Supras aren't rare... I used to have a Civic Type R and I see at least double the amount of Supras on the road.

It's unfortunate but at the end of the day the rarity of the car shouldn't matter.

I see many more Type Rs and Corvettes, the type Rs because they are less expensive and are more versatile for family drivers, and the corvettes because GM made 30,000 in one year.
Generally speaking, the higher the price, lower the volume produced, and the smaller the interior volume, the rarer the vehicle.

I've seen the new gen type R in Toronto atleast 4 times on a weekly basis. Guess it varies in area.

On another note, I drove by a local Nissan dealer and saw two new Zs just chilling on the lot down by the curb. Pretty sure demand for those is meh

People lost interest in the Z due to the limited aftermarket support and dealers taking full advantage of demand by egregiously marking up the prices. I can only speak for myself but I originally wanted a Z before I saw it in person and was very disappointed. Then I saw a supra in person and after doing a bunch of research I immediately started shopping for one

I live in Orange County, California and commute all around Southern California and have NEVER seen an FL5 Civic Type R besides at a car show or cars and coffee. It does depend on location and area. Plenty of Mustangs, Chargers and Challengers though...

Dang, I’d expect California to have way more than here in Raleigh NC but I see CTR’s almost daily, new and old

I see a lot of the old FK8 models around, but I am yet to see an FL5 in person around here driving around. I wonder if it had anything to do with the crazy markups. Luckily, anyone who waited or wasn't able to buy the first batch, there are people posting on youtube and such about their FL5 purchases at MSRP. I think dealerships are more desperate now with interest rates at 222 year highs and less people buying in general.

They're here in the San Diego area, for sure. None seem to challenge Supras, of course, unless they are running with race rubber. ;)

well in 2023, 3,300 civic type rs were made, 53k corvettes, and 2400 supras. Supras at the moment were less produced.

however in the USA overall 20k modern type rs have been made, and 33k supras have been made so they are indeed rarer for now.

either way by modern standards they are both rare. The fact that 4,500 c8 vettes are made per month is crazy compared to both civic and supra.

Ya the Manuals are a whole different animal. So far like 2500 MTs have been made. They will be rare as can be when production is over
