Actually even a Honda Fit has this feature. It's common on fuel injected cars...since like 30 - 35 years ago (?)BMW M series cars have a feature where the car won’t let you go past a certain rev limit until the cars engine is at proper temperatures. I’m assuming they used the same technology on these cars. The reason this is a feature is so people can get in their car and drive and not have to warm it up. I think that due to your below freezing temperatures, this is what you’re experiencing.
Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum and I just had a few concerns and I think this is the right place to ask them. Im from Calgary, Canada and right now it's -33 degrees Celsius /-27 degree Fahrenheit. I have a 2021 Supra 3.0 that's been tuned and has an air intake, downpipe and exhaust. Recently I turned my car on in the garage (non heated) and left it on idle for about 5 minutes and tried to do a baby rev just to check and my car wouldnt rev. The engine was still cold (one bar), has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried? Is this supposed to happen?
I'm open to all suggestions, sorry for the long post. Thanks guys!
