I went down a rabbit hole of shifter bushings after looking how to remove the clutch pedal to install the CM pedal bushings and found these two items from Rogue Engineering.

Theoretically the G8X parts should fit given how BMW likes to share parts between cars. Not sure if anyone has tried it yet, but will likely get the rear carrier bushing to try myself.

Would love to know if this fits. The price is reasonable and the quality seems very good.

It does not, the shifter on the supra is further back, the carrier is different.

The rear carrier bushing fits, as well as the delrin bushings for the front of the carrier, and the bushings/pins for the clutch pedal.

From my understanding, you have 2 options with the Supra shifter;

1.) The Rogue Engineering Bushing Kit: https://ind-distribution.com/produc...rrier-bushing-kit?_pos=1&_sid=2cfa6812c&_ss=r

This will tighten up the action and get rid of the majority of the rubber feeling, but same throw lengths and everything.

2.) Autosolutions Short Shifter

These replace all the bushings and the entire shifter assembly. They are made to order and Ron from Autosolutions will tailor each build to what you want out of it. (IE you can choose how much shorter you want the throw to be, if you'd prefer a threaded shift lever instead of the traditional BMW design, etc.)

I have have the Autosolutions and it does tighten up the rubbery feeling quite a bit. He hand makes them in batches so wait time is like 6 months.

I haven't had a chance to install the bushing since it is in an inconvenient spot. I'll get to it eventually. When I peeked under there, it does look to fit though. Shouldn't be any issues.

CAE makes a short shifter

How inconvenient we talking here? I have it sitting in the shopping cart at their website... along with their tranny mounts: https://www.rogueengineering.com/Rogue-Engineering-Transmission-Mounts-Pair_p_137.html
I don’t have a good way to lift the car. It’s deep in there under the cup holder area. Exhaust, driveshaft, and a bunch of covers are in the way. If I could get a lift it would be easier to reach under there and avoid removing the exhaust. But not really down to do it under jack stands.
I’ll get to it eventually.

The transmissions mounts while they look like they fit, Rogue has told me they do not, I tried to order them.

The bushings/pins for the pedal are a bit of pain. You will be upside down in weird positions, it's a tight fit. The airbag under the steering column needs to come out, otherwise you can't see well enough.

The carrier bushings are not horrible, rear mount has two bolts, that's it. To do the front carrier bushings the carrier needs to come out. Disconnect from shifter, pull some pins, remove rear carrier mount and transmission rod from the carrier. It takes a bit of wiggling and pulling to get the carrier past the driveshaft. Once out you have to cut the rubber bushings out to insert the new delrin bushings.

I can't speak to the exhaust needing to come out, I have the HKS and didn't need to remove it but the single pipe down the middle on stock exhaust might be in the way when pulling the carrier out.

Overall, the pedal feels tighter and grounded. The shifter moves better, doesn't have slop, and I find it easier to put in reverse.
