JB4 has no control over fueling,
yet... lol. Terry is working on an O2 spoof but not sure how brave I'd be ? ? ? bias it into the 13s

its like biasing a knock sensor... like uhhh idk.

He's only trying it since that dude in this thread ran no O2 sensor and it fixed all the MT injection-monitoring issues

Damn now that I think about it, my GTI has the O2 bias for the JB4 for like 9 years hahah, no issues. Runs mid 12s-13s afr

Timing is already being pulled so no point in exceeding Map 1. Yeah the FP upgrade just raises rail pressure a little so trims stay under control when you blend ethanol. which I would recommend if you want more substantial gains.
Thank you for the info! You are a great asset to the community! I’ll just rock it as is on map 1 for now. I do have an e85 station close, My Mkiv runs e85 and has flex fuel sensor. But I don’t think I wanna go that crazy with my MKV and mix and blah blah. I’ll just grab the Mkiv if I wanna drive fast haha

Honestly stick with Map 1 for the track ? Less heat soak, mild top end.
Yeah… in town even Map 2 or 3 is a beast ? Jesse’s custom Map 6 is absolutely INSANE!!!! I’m still glad I got it. Makes her a totally different animal.

The car is plenty fast on track. My consistency and getting more comfortable at her limits are the areas where I’ll make up the most time on track. Thx amigo ✌?

Wait wait wait. You chose to use a JB4 on a car that has a easily tunable DME and is way out of warranty? Wut?
I got the JB4 in 2016... lol, been doing this a while. Car is a 2015.

I don't unlock cars till they are paid off. Drove a "stage 2" unitronic GTI. Mine was much faster, easier to log and switch between E30/93 maps. Never cared to flash it after that. Only if going big turbo, but I have open diff so its already useless at current power ~320whp/2900lbs.

26psi no timing corrections

Not a Corvette.

That’s because unironic is trash. My base 2015 GTI with open diff was a blast to drive with a self tuned DME. Just blows my mind that someone would choose to run a JB4 over a properly tuned DME. But I guess if you don’t know what you’re missing…

IATs are a bit higher, May be worth running a map 6 somewhere in between map 1 and map 2 on that fuel.

FF to 45 after switching to map 6

ngl man, it is pretty annoying because you assume everyone already knows how to fully dme tune any car, or has the time to be trained on it

I don't have enough hours in my day to learn to self tune 2 completely different platforms for negligible gains. Especially when the risk of fuck-up is 10-20k.

I know you had bad experiences with piggybacks, but have you considered you just have no idea how to tune them? ? GTI is 80k w/ it. Never a single issue, engine is in great health.

You attack me like I get $$ out of every jb4 sold lol.. check the thread you are in. If you have an issue with it, go harass the dude making 1k+/wk off it.

Just changed the settings, but it looks like it saves numbers close to what i put in instead of the actual numbers, e.g. 1.1 instead of 1.3. Raining so unable to log but will as soon as it dries up

Yeah it can round a tenth or two, no worries. Won't make a difference.
