Evening, and I finally made it back. Been unfortunately quite busy and away, unable to play.
Here is my initial log. 2024 MT with catted AA downpipe and MST intake. This was done on map 1 with 93 octane. (Is it possible to verify if the octane sucks or not?)

Thats about as good as it'll get on your current fuel, looks solid.
Awesome and thanks. I am still a bit confused per these instructions in your first post thinking there was a bit more to do with hi flow catted DP and 93 octane or does this only apply to mixed blend fuel? My DP is not OEM.

I do tuning for MT Supras, reach out if you need any help.
  • P158 V28 (or newer) firmware will be needed, and FF is typically set much lower on MTs. (think ~30-35 oem dp, ~15-20 hi flow, ~10-15 catless)
  • Duty bias tune as needed. You want ecu_psi to stay within 12-16 psi for the entire pull. Do not try the AT method of "ecu_psi 1 psi below dme_bt"
  • Stick with additive maps.
  • Keep boost targets lower below 5k rpm. Taper is key. (ie. most MT cars won't take over +5psi below 5000 rpm)
  • dme_bt will be much higher than ecu_psi. this is normal. On MTs, you need to "underboost".

I've been lurking in this thread for a while now. Installed the JB4 a little over two weeks ago and worked through tuning Map 1 with just an intake. Installed an AA catted downpipe and exhaust and retuned Map 1. This past week I've been working through a fairly mild Map 6 and I am finally mostly happy with it.

2023 MT
MST V2 Intake
AA GESI Catted DP
AWE Non-Resonated Exhaust
Running just over 2 gal of E

https://datazap.me/u/ahnika10/log-1754332481?log=0&data=1-2-4-11-15-25-26-27-28-29

Road got a little bumpy and came off the throttle in 4th. I'm still learning and tweaking this daily but would welcome any insight. Next changes I see are dropping duty 40 by 1, pushing a little more boost 5-6k, and maybe lowering duties below 3k. I struggle quite a bit smoothing out that bottom range. I just ordered the fuel pressure upgrade and an E sensor.

Huge thanks to ColonelAdama for this incredible thread and Jesse for his help here and elsewhere in the forum.

AA is not particularly high flow since it is emissions compliant 400 cell. It behaves more similarly to a stock cat, whereas a high flow like 150-200 cell will behave more like catless. Its sort of on a car-by-car basis whether AA will need a bunch of WGDC adjustments or not.

Your throttle isn't closing much (other than when you let off the pedal which is normal), so FF 30 is a good fit.

As you add more boost and ethanol, the MTs will require more effort into duty bias adjustments to avoid triggering the injection monitoring stuff that causes throttle closures.

This is really well dialed, good work. Leave it be till you get the FP upgrade.

The E blend %, trims, timing, boost targets, WGDC mapping all spot on.

If you are struggling on the low end intermittently, just try to keep the torque (calc_tq) value under 49 by turning down duty there. Like I can see in your log that you may get occasional cuts around 4300 based on the torque value hitting 49. Mine peaks 47-48 and I don't get any cuts

Okay I am dumb but ECU_psi is consistently 1psi or less below dme_Bt

Catless, E25 map6, around 60F ambient temp, 2022 AT no other mod.

2. Not sure why @4900rpm throttle dropped. Assuming traction. Otherwise looking okay. AFR around 4000RPM hits 15:1 tho????

You're good to run map 6

First, thank you all for the work you have put into making this thread. I am new to this platform and it looks like a lot has been sorted out with the JB4 on manual transmissions so far. (I’ve only read 42 pages, so don’t flame me 😁) I’ve got a 2026 MKV Final Edition manual trans. I made a hit yesterday in 3rd on map 1 and the only thing I saw was throttle cut/boost reduction from going over dme’s targeted boost with additional timing reduced (assumed for boost control). Timing up top was lower than expected, assume octane related (93 only). Completely stock setup right now. Will lowering the FF only aid in slowing the spool up or do I also need to adjust WGDC? I planned on going off map 1 data to just make my own map 6. Other than adjusting boost curve and WGDC is there anything else that needs to be done tuning map 6. Through the posts it kinda reads wg adaptation enabled/disabled is optional if tuning on map 6. Is the adaptation like a closed loop thing since it’s learned over time and will smooth out? I’m familiar with FAST and Holley stand alone stuff, but just wanted to grasp the lingo and functions of this software before changing too much. It’s on firmware v31 and has wg/fp connections.

its not bad, usually I find stock dp MT supras work well when FF is at 30. car runs a bit lower boost and timing cleans up

you should be able to get map 1 running with a few corrections or fewer on 93.

i dunno if it is an MT thing but they seem to run more timing/less boost compared to autos, and I've seen its the same deal with S58 MT cars.

Hey guys, I'd appreciate it if someone can take a look at these runs. I'm still new to tuning and a little nervous. My end goal would be map 2 or a custom map 6. Future mods will be Catless DP

MAP1 PID=0 FF=30
MT
94 Octane
AWE Cat-back
BMS BOV and charge pipe

Using new free jb4 pro app

More of a general question but I saw a previous post where you said to watch the torque value. What does that value represent? I don’t think it was mentioned at the beginning of this thread.
