Thanks bud, appreciate it. I do wish the forum was a bit more active. This build thread is closer to a "dear diary" type of thing than a place of discussion sometimes. I'd stop posting completely if it wasn't for the occasional educational post by some of the folks in here nice enough to contribute/help.

Actually decided to create a basic blog/website to update long term. Bit corny though, so keeping that to myself for now.

completely understand what you mean. i'm actually really surprised with how little activity there is here for a car with so much buzz and interest in the community.

if you'll indulge me with a little "back in my day" storytime...when i first got into cars back in 2001, the forums were all the rage. even local forums in southeast louisiana were constantly busy, and the ones for denver were 10x that. i was always a nissan owner (until the supra) and zilvia always had crazy amounts of activity. like 2k+ posts/day. i guess the move to facebook groups and discord servers has really destroyed the forum community. /storytime

anyway, keep on keepin' on man. if you get a blog/vlog/personal build site going, definitely post it here as i'd love to keep up.

The community is more segmented now. Facebook groups, Reddit, and Discord, and here. "Back in the day", there was typically one main hub... the forums.

yeah, although i can't for the life of me understand how Facebook has become a thing for things like this. The UX is just terrible. I've been around long enough to have experienced forums when they were extremely popular. IWSTI & S2KI were great. NASIOC was bit much, but did have some good posters for sure.

I think we're going to come full circle on this one tbh. I think niche forums like this one will at some point regain some of the traction they've lost.

I think it’s timing. It’s been 7 ish years and the platform hasn’t really changed much and everything has already been discussed and not much new info anymore. And don’t ask questions about oil, wheels, manifolds, turbos transmissions, suspensions or tuning cuz it’s already been asked and answered.

The community is more segmented now. Facebook groups, Reddit, and Discord, and here. "Back in the day", there was typically one main hub... the forums.
