I know this is silly, but Martini Racing is my favorite livery ever. And shoulder pads make the harnesses so much more comfortable, so i'm actually quite happy with this purchase

Finally got the Narita Dogfight wheel i've been wanting. This is a limited drop that happens every blue moon, and when they do drop, they get sold out within hours.

I also need new friends

Tried to get those in December, after three months of them telling me the same thing about delays I cancelled the order. There are numerous other options.

Went with these - https://www.phase2motortrend.com/product-p/p2-sbcbrzgt86-tp.htm

There's a couple of others out there, saw these the other day.

Appreciate the input. Will give those a look now

Picked up the P2M rigid collar kit thanks to @Strat-Supra

Also finally gave in a initiated something i should've done from the very start....water/meth. Not as an octane booster since i'm running ethanol. Massively looking forward to it. Put in an order for the Snow Performance Stage 2.5 kit.

Will get custom tuned as well, and that'll be done by Sameh. One of the perks of living in dxb is that i can get tuned by Sameh in-person rather than remotely.

That is a perk, because remotely he takes forever, gives 1,000 excuses, and then gets mad at you.

I wish i had your skills and could tune my own car.

Ordered these billet aluminum pieces as well.

The irony is that Sameh's work ethic moved me to get back to tuning myself. So that was one positive of my Sameh experience. ;)

There were a couple bits of oddities that I had with Sameh's tune that magically all went away when I moved to my own tune. Lightning bolt boost control with PID cranked to the moon was one. I could literally hear the wastegate actuate off/on/off/on/off/on at WOT on track. The other was some LPFP issues I was having.

Sounds like Sameh’s tune was trying to reinvent physics. Boost control that felt like a strobe light and a fuel pump doing the cha-cha at WOT? PID gains to the moon only help if the moon’s part of your control loop...

Would you consider turning your skillset into a business? Can you tell i'm a longterm corporate guy yet?

So my transmission oil temps have been uncomfortably high at the track. I shouldn't even be tracking in this weather, but i really wanted to test the new aero setup.

So i've been thinking about either a transmission cooler or an larger more robust pan. Leaning towards the cooler because it comes down to heat management vs heat capacity. Bigger pan = more fluid, so yes, it slightly slows down how fast temps rise… but it doesn’t actively remove heat. A dedicated DCT cooler actively dissipates heat via airflow, which is great under sustained load conditions at the track.

I'd rather prevent heat soak than delay it.

That's the logic that's guiding my thought process.

Now to choose the cooler itself, i think i'm going to opt for do88.

What temps are we talking about?
About 225 F. And consider that it was an open pit lane and i was doing short stints. So i didn't get close to what could have been the ceiling had i stayed out there longer.

225F is fine and in the normal range. 190-210 is like normal daily driving. 260+ is when you should start worrying.

The M5 pan with exposed fins helped cooling a bit on my Supra.
