Time for another random Carsales update

21 used Supras - 2 of which are dealer demos/newish. 10 manual, 11 automatic. Prices still seem pretty strong, especially if you ignore the bizarre 4 cylinder Supra that's been on Car Sales since forever. Looks like they can't give that one away, lol.

Curious to know who has the fastest 6MT MKV supra in Australia as I don't see many manual owners pushing the limits of the manual trans.

I was under the impression that 500-550nm was about the limit of the stock transmission. I'd be very surprised if there isn't an aftermarket clutch involved with those numbers.

Only done about 1500ish KMS on this setup so far with one roll racing event which made about 10 passes on the night and it sung beautiful without any issues and still very cool IAT's.

It's currently got the PTB Twin disc clutch kit with Organic + Sintered disc and dual mass flywheel.

No issues (other than traction but appropriate tyres/wheels on the way), clutch feels like OEM.

I've managed to score a 5.22s 100-200kmh dragy but it was with a god awful shift as you can see in the graph below and still some hazing / traction issues so i definitely believe i can make a high 4s time... Also I've only just begun messing around with no lift shift feature with MHD so will try get a better time once i get wheels.

Carsales update. 19 cars for sale Australia wide.. only four of which are manuals!

While there are still some cars in the $80k zone, a number of cars are being listed for well over $100k, despite being a few years old. And nobody has picked up the four cylinder abomination yet, either.

It does seem these are starting to trend north, as we suspected.

So the cheapest one available is a 2019 with 45k kms and it's still $80k. Assuming it sells for that, it's approx. only 20% depreciation in 6-7 years. Not bad.

It looks like there's some Australian unlockers getting in on the Femto action now. Pity they are charging over $1000AUD more than it cost to send it to send to Femto direct.. and that's before Femto dropped their prices. What a joke.

Over the years I have noticed that Australians seem to have no real problem ripping off other Australians. Sad.

And here's an unscheduled Carsales update: Slight uptick in numbers: 25 cars for sale but still only 6 manuals available Australia wide. Prices all over the place from $120,000k for a 2024, down to $80,000 for a 2019.

As predicted, we're starting to see the manual transmission cars faring better, with four of the five most expensive cars being manuals. And the least expensive manual sitting at a healthy $99,000.

But it was sold here.. I didn't think a trim was enough to get it through unless it was over 25 years old. The one on Car Sales says it was imported by Toyota.. if that's accurate, maybe as a trial?

Anyway, weird.
