Get your facts straight old man. Capped price servicing is literally what it is, the servicing price is capped. The consumables that are to be changed at the service is not set in the stone on the T&C and is deemed variable by the manufacturer at their discretion. A tune will void warranty on the whole powertrain, period.Because this has nothing to do with warranty it's about servicing and you obviously don't know the Australian consumer law. His powertrain warranty in it's entirety isn't voided by a tune. Also he has a right to be annoyed at an inclusive deal for scheduled maintenance with a capped price and then Toyota starts winding back the value of the deal. Bit like food manufacturers these days keeping the prices the same but reducing the size and or weight of the product.

If that dude has paid for a servicing package upfront, then he would have a case. But no, he didn't paid shit upfront and is just whinging that the sparkplugs not included at the servicing point. Guess what, don't like it then leave. Don't tell me he bought a Supra because it has capped price servicing with spark plugs included at a 24m service and now he feels cheated into buying a Supra because it aint so.
