Also curious about how long the order books will stay open in Australia. Reaching the point where I'm thinking about a new car and the Supra still has a lot going for it.

Current orders are like a 6-12 month wait and production is meant to end in 2026, so my guess is that they will be taken off sale sometime in 2025.

Just got notification the car is being built on Saturday. Was supposed to be the 15th. Lets hope I can get it in the country and then PPF before christmas. Hoping to pick up my white a80 in November, then this one in December

For those interested, I saw these for sale at Aldi tonight - From what I can tell, they come in any colour you like.. as long as that colour is red. ?

Haha, that is pretty cool though. I kind of want an a90 and an a80 in both my cars colours. Then theres a rumour of lego releasing an F&F supra to go with Doms Charger which I've got

I got nudged by my dealer to place the order last week (I’m in the middle of house hunting so the car has to come after). I signed and placed the deposit yesterday.

no news on an estimated build date but they’re expecting it in November 2025. Running a tight race here guys, wish me luck ?

I guess the good news is that if productions lasts till then, you'll have one of the last cars produced. ?‍

The obvious one would be for resale I guess and unlike this year's model, they might put some effort into doing something special for the send off.. but who knows.

And that's assuming the rumors of production ending in '25/'26 are true, of course.

interesting to hear, Drive.com.au has reported that Toyota Australia has filed its IP rights over the ‘Toyota Supra GR Track’ name. Which could mean it’s just another version of the 45th edition for Australia (being the 46th model), or nothing at all.
This occurred last week. It could also just refer to the model heading to the Bathurst track. Time will tell.

interesting to hear, Drive.com.au has reported that Toyota Australia has filed its IP rights over the ‘Toyota Supra GR Track’ name. Which could mean it’s just another version of the 45th edition for Australia (being the 46th model), or nothing at all.

That's new. I've been following all the rumors - there's even a pie in the sky thread on here too - and in my opinion, the only reasonable evidence against the Z4/Supra line shuttering in the next two years is the introduction of the V8 Supra Supercar. To me, it makes little sense to invest in a car that's about to be discontinued but, as many, many will attest, I have been wrong before. And Australia is such a tiny market, I'd suggest that what we do (or what our Toyota executives say in press releases) is unlikely to affect a globally planned production.

Maybe it's for an Australian non-street race version ala GT4 to tie in with the Supercar offering? Or maybe, as Drive.com.au end up admitting, it could just be a nothing burger.

You raise really great points and I totally agree. I don’t think a MKVI is in the cards just yet either. There’s been no spy footage or credible information on it (unlike the Honda prelude which is tested on track but still a few years away).

I went with absolute zero white - if I had a choice, I’d go for gun metal silver or something like that. I don’t find the Toyota colours to be that exciting as a whole, which is fine, given how awesome the car is as a whole. Now the waiting game begins!
