These AI generated (as to the "hosts" and narration script) videos are becoming so prevalent now. Even though he often rambles on at length I'll still take the Kirk Kriefels video over AI.Shorter vid that comes out a lot of the non sense.
you say that like it's a bad thingNew MR2 will launch similarly to the Lexus LFA. Ten years too late with one generation old tech. Only difference is the LFA had unlimited development budget and some standout features including a bespoke drivetrain and chassis expected of a halo car. This new MR2 will be a Corolla parts bin Frankenstein as were the previous iterations. If we are lucky, this car will launch by 2030 and perform middle of the pack. My expectations are not quite as high as some of you.
With the next Cayman and Boxster pretty much going in all EV, I think Toyota has a good opportunity steal some buyers. I just wish it would arrived faster than the anticipated time frame.
A few other articles said it will most likely be a hybrid due to tighter EU regulations. But yeah, VW as a whole dropped the ball big time with all the EV investment lol.https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/...s-next-cayman-and-boxster-to-get-gas-engines/
They're getting internal combustion engines now, but probably not anytime soon. So Toyota could still beat them to it. Different buyers IMO.
I guarantee you that very few people ever consider cross-shopping a Toyota if they wanted a Porsche. Most Porsche shoppers are #1 badge whores and clout chasers and #2 scalpers. No Toyota would ever appeal to this crowd. The few true automotive enthusiasts who love Porsche would likely buy a used GTS or GT4 before ever considering a Toyota Corolla MR.With the next Cayman and Boxster pretty much going in all EV, I think Toyota has a good opportunity steal some buyers.
