Does anyone recommend a Rear Differential oil service kit. Or have any part numbers for Refill Diff plug. Planning to do a service soon for track days.

Kits I'm not sure on. I ordered the fill plugs from my local dealer and had them in 2 days. O ring comes on the new plugs and went to Redline 75W90.

Thank you for the post reply. So you ordered the Fill Plug and the lower plug where the oil temp sensor fits in the Diff ???

Just the fill plug. I'm using a pump to pull the old fluid out and to refill.

Thinking of replacing my atf fluid with amsoil sig series when i replace my trans pan with the PPE aftermarket pan. Is amsoil compatible with our zf transmission?

Where’s the full plug ? I went under there and only saw the drain plug by the pressure sensor unless I’m not looking good

It's a large hex key bolt just above the temp sensor.

It seems like Redline 75W90 is the way to go for replacement differential oil. For those of you who have replaced the differential oil, how much did it take? I'm guessing that a quart would be enough to do the trick.

If anyone was wondering, here's the BMW part number for the factory fill on the differential.
Hypoid Axle Oil G483 22 2 447 3623 x 500 ml

I use a quart of Redline 75-140. Per the manual it takes 1.1qt/1l.

Hey all, this is a bump from hell. Just got under the car to do the trans service I don't see a way to access the fill plug. I tried using a Allen socket which was too long and a regular L shaped Allen wrench is also too long to fit between the chassis and the side of the trans. Help!

1) Take your Allen key
2) Cut it
