Thanks so much @razorlab ! Just got it all working. What took me so much time was the posi taps since I never used them before. But I am supra excited to see and address my trail braking for big willow next week! You just saved me from getting an aimsolo.

I know you said you were going to update adding the obd connection as well. I imagine I would have to get another obdlink connect it in Racechrono as well? Are there any advantages of the obdlink mx vs cx?

I get fast CAN data via my ECUTek dongle on bluetooth (like throttle position and brake pressure), but it's not compatible with RaceChrono. Do I need to tap into the CAN lines again or can I just connect the OBDLink and send it?

ECUTek is on the OBD2 port. This is straight CAN connection.

Can ride height sensor data be logged?

I’m trying to figure this out also. Any progress?

I may send my car to AiM during the offseason to let them sniff the CAN for some additional channels I’ve been talking about with them. They’re open to “borrowing” my car to find more things to log.

That being said, if we can collectively come up with a list of channels we don’t have and would like to have then I’ll add it to the list of stuff for them to find…

This CAN OBD2 combo is turning out to be a great setup.

I log data with AiM Solo 2 DL and after talking with AiM there’s no way (specifically with AiM datalogger) to combine inputs from OBD2 and CAN like @razorlab did here unless you’re running a full dash, and OBD has some data that isn’t available on CAN and vice versa.

AiM told me they developed their current list of available CAN channels from a customer car in the shop based on what that customer wanted to log, and so far that’s the only Supra they’ve had in the shop to sniff.

They offered to try and find whatever channels I want (so they can add to what they offer) if I let them borrow my car so I may send it to them this winter.

If there are CAN channels we (Supra track community) still want to try and find to improve what we can log via CAN let me know. I’ll keep a list of what we want and request that they find those protocols.

@JaredFloyd ride height sensor data is one of the things on my list too.

For ground, use a ring terminal. There are various places to ground in that location. I used this one below in the photo:

Ahh got it. Is your setup pictured slightly different? Just using the cables from the female obd plug and not using extra wires to tap in right?

Yes, idling. I checked CanH and CanL both show voltage so wires are tapped. Seems I’m missing a setting or something.
