Tried out map 4 with the jb4 on e30, here are the logs…

Will do, I wish I could get the mhd back end flash but I heard I still need to unlock my ecu for that which kinda sucks
Yeah, it is easily another 40 hp capable with it compared to just JB4. Just don't get the one off the BMS website or it'll try to kill your car 😂 @Phantomx

Dang an extra 40 hp???? That’ll put me close to 500 that’s crazy. But at that point when I get my ecu unlocked I’m just gonna pair it with bm3 and do a custom e30 tune with that that’ll definitely get me to 500 whp or so I’ve heard 🤔

About to find out Friday going back to the Dyno. Yea don’t use the one on Jb4 I have the updated file.

for comparison I had the MHD OTS e40 tune made 426rwhp.
Jb4 with backend flash did 460rwhp on stock map 5

now I have a custom map 6 that Terry created and @ColonelAdama has been helping me fine tune that we hope goes over 500rwhp.

nice part about Jb4 with BEF is you can tweak a lot of what you need without constantly waiting for your tuner to update your tune. If you want more boost just put it in. Less boost. Just put it in and go drive no wait.

from all the videos I watched the MHD ots and custom tunes seem smoother and a tick more power but depends on car and tuner of course.

Apparently people using the jb4s with the gen 2 engines with my same mods are making around 450-460 whp so I’m hoping the custom tune from Jesse will put me a little over that

So I’m back on 93 pump gas and map 2 because so far map 2 seems to be the only map that my car runs perfectly fine on with no fueling problems. Here is the log for it. It looks a lot better to me but I wanted to get an opinion from someone more knowledgeable than me lol. Sorry it’s not a actual 3rd gear pull but I was short on time today

Also, I found out that even on 93 pump gas and map 4, map 4 still maxes out my fuel trims. So I don’t think it’s an e30 problem just map 4 and 5 do not work well with my car. Are there any other maps I can run e on?

I did 477/565 on e40, JB4/Backend Flash/Exhaust/Intake. Razorlabs just did some more tweaks timing is up a bit more now, fueling is better now probably added a few more HP the best part is the cars power curve looks like a table top over 400rwhp from just over 3500 to 6500

Yeah some cars struggle a bit more with absolute maps. Send your latest Map 2 log and I'll see if there's any room for more.

Are you stock downpipe? looks like a lot of throttle activity (ie. slight overboosting)
I’m on a catless downpipe and cold air intake and that’s pretty much it for bolt ons

Ah yeah okay, you definitely need to do your duty biases then... catless will make JB4 run like shit otherwise. I really wish BMS would make this info more well known but they don't want to be involved in any emissions related stuff since they're in Cali.

start with these. get me a map 2 log from 2500 to redline (3rd or 4th gear) and one shift up.

by the way, this is the majority of work that is provided in a custom tune like Jesse does. It can take some time and iterations to dial in perfectly.
