Have already seen 3 A90 editions offered in Germany. The first one was for a non disclosed amount (the seller said retail price plus a "fee",) the second for 99k EUR and the most recent one for 125k EUR...

Toyotaā€™s antipodean experiment
NZ agent model spreads to British dealers who will act as agents for Supra sales

TOYOTA New Zealandā€™s agency business model has taken root in the United Kingdom, but it is to be limited to just one model.

Toyota GB has told dealers that the company will retain ownership of the reborn Supra sports coupe and that buyers will be buying the car from Toyota GB and not from the dealers.

Dealers will be paid a handling fee for each sale they make to cover their part in the handover and customer service associated with delivering the car.

They have also been told that Toyota will have 25 Supra demonstration vehicles available for home test drives and that dealers will have to appoint a staff member to specialise in handling Supra sales and maintaining contact with Supra owners.

Only 300 Supras are expected to be available for sale during 2019 and 600 in 2020. They will be priced from Ā£52,700 ($A95,500).

UK dealers will be expected to buy service equipment specific to the Supra but will not have to do so until after they have sold the first car.

Last year Toyota NZ appointed all its dealers as agents in an arrangement under which dealers do not have to buy stock from Toyota but sell cars on behalf of Toyota for a fixed fee.

The model means dealers do not have to fund their new-car stock and they receive a predetermined payment for each car they sell.

Brembo ceramic brakes. Thatā€™s probably [partly] why the cost seems so high
Nope this was debunked, the presenters made a mistake.
I thought the whole showcase was poor honestly. The camera was stuck in portrait....

The price isnā€™t justified in the U.K. at all. Totally overpriced but then most German cars are. Ā£10k is usually the number by which these cars are overpriced by. Many times itā€™s more than this.

Hereā€™s a question for the UK members.

Porsche have just announced that customers with outstanding orders will be charged an additional 10% for their vehicle in the event of a ā€˜no dealā€™ Brexit. Other say they may follow.

If Toyota add 10% to the price of the Supra, will you still go ahead with your purchase?
For me, it puts me close to the ā€œThatā€™s too much, Iā€™ll just buy a Cayman GTSā€ limit in my brain.

What are your thoughts?

I was thinking with the price of a new Supra being towards the top end of what we expected, an extra 10% might make me lean towards a used GTS (being used, it wouldnā€™t be subject to the 10%).

The current price is already more than Iā€™d expected, so would have to be amazed by the test drive and seeing the car to go ahead anyway, certainly wonā€™t be paying more than the current price.

Itā€™s already too highly priced compared to the US. I wonā€™t be going ahead for that and some other reasons. However if they do raise the price then I canā€™t see it selling here at all.

FYI. I think itā€™ll hurt Germany more than it will hurt us if we leave with no deal.

Yes the basic US price is cheaper but If you read the US pricing forum threads most dealers over there are adding 10-15k on top of the MSRP due to the low volume of cars expected to be available in year 1. Personally Iā€™ve ordered the A90 edition in the UK and with there only being 24 in the UK and right hand drive itā€™s going to be a rare car.

Iā€™m still interested in the test drive event, but purchase wise thereā€™s a lot of temptations out there, and at least I can see their actual colours, still no proper pictures from Toyota on the others. Also, the selected dealer has been useless for any information - colours are on the website. No they arenā€™t, not how they will actually look, itā€™s a Ā£54k car, not a t-shirt.

Hmm M2 comp, Cayman 718T, Mustang Bullitt, RS3 Saloon, Golf Gti TCR, all leave change compared to the Supra. The porker and co would be ruled out if they slapped 10% on.

Different paint, black wheels and some red seat highlights are a weak special edition so I doubt itā€™ll be worth anything. Not to mention rare doesnā€™t mean wanted...

Honestly I think this will depreciate like a brick so maybe Iā€™ll get one second hand when theyā€™re 10k but maybe not.

Definitely going to go to the events up until the dealership road test but Iā€™m certain Iā€™ll be telling them I want my deposit back.
