Curious to know if anyone else has had this problem since I haven't seen many others mention it.
Apparently water pump leaks aren't uncommon on the B58, according to a close friend who's a technician at BMW.

I've gotten the 'coolant low' warning on iDrive twice before. Once at around 15k miles and the last time being about 2 weeks ago (approx. 29k miles). If your coolant reservoir has gone dry before, there has to be a leak somewhere. The same tech told me the first place to check is the water pump and then the oil filter housing area.

Still have warranty and will be taking it to Longo Toyota to have the work done.
Anyone have good experience with their service department?

I saw this splatter close to 18k miles and thought it was some sort of splash from something on the road.
You can see that the coolant dries white instead of green:

Not technically, reservoir cap failure is common and results in evaporation over time. Have you checked both reservoir caps? Any dried coolant on either? Are either hard to remove/reinstall?

The tiny amount of dried coolant around the reservoir cap under certain driving conditions and is not necessarily considered a cap fault by BMW.

Both reservoir caps are dry and have no coolant residue. I’ve heard of others mention that the fix for “low coolant” is a new cap, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here

Had my pump replaced under warranty earlier this year...same symptoms as you, low coolant notice, could see the dried fluid around the pump area, not unlike your photo.

We have seen this leak on the Waterpumps on various Supra and other B58 Gen2 vehicles. Usually only need to address if you are noticing Low Coolant issues. If you are then it's best to replace/refresh the Waterpump and associated seals. One of the lower left bolts near the Crank pulley is hard to access as a heads up, but not impossible.
