Every 10,000 miles or 12 months sounds nuts. What’s everyone’s intervals?

Coming from a 2003 Tacoma of a dinosaur this interval timeline makes me second guess.

Most do 5K miles or a year interval. Just make sure to check the oil with an OBD app around 3K miles as these engines lose some oil. Don’t go by the iDrive digital dipstick.

I’m sitting at a little over 5k with my 1 year being in November. I may schedule its first service soon then. Thanks for the insight!

Is this the Bimmerlink app?
I feel new to this, cause I just go off of the cars oil check setting. Just hate that you have to drive atleast 30min or so to check the oil.

Changed oil after 1500 miles, then change it every other year or 3k miles - my car just sits in the garage...

I personally plan to do once a year as i would never hit 10k miles in a year. However I honestly don`t see a problem with doing 10k mile oil changes either. It all comes down to how long you plan to keep the car.

For me it's always been ~5,000 miles for oil and then ~20,000-30,000 miles for brake pads/rotors/fluid depending on wear/condition.

First experience with synthetic, or really BMW at that. In the land of 200k plus miles on conventional is obviously a no-go. Thanks for the feedback!
