Agree, not that my agreement matters, but 0w30 is listed as acceptable in the manual as well.If anybody is looking to run heavier weight oil on our cars. I would run 0w30 or even 0w40 for heavy track usage.
Why so thin? I use the Lucas stabilizer as oil. You know, the stuff you got to heat up just to get out of the bottle. Thicker, the better!I use SAE 90 in my motor.
That oil change must take for…ever. Why so thin? I use the Lucas stabilizer as oil. You know, the stuff you got to heat up just to get out of the bottle. Thicker, the better!
At the current temps, around 6-7 days. It's not bad. Just flop that bottle in the fill hole and come back the next day to swap it out. That oil change must take for…ever.
I'll put 10 qts of assembly lube in the motor next time.At the current temps, around 6-7 days. It's not bad. Just flop that bottle in the fill hole and come back the next day to swap it out.
I just can't compete with that. You sir clearly will be running the best oil possible. No one can question that.I'll put 10 qts of assembly lube in the motor next time.
Lucas oil stabilizer is your friend.I'm just bummed no one bit on my oil consumption comment in this post...
Okay, now I feel better 🩹. Will be happy with my 0 or 5-30 that is in route to my house as we speak. And not too thick despite how schweaty my ass is in the seat. This car needs somewhat lower viscosity to get in all the nooks and crannies (including main and rod?).Agree, not that my agreement matters, but 0w30 is listed as acceptable in the manual as well.
