I suffer from FOMO. (Fear of Missing Out) I requested an A91-MT from my local dealer back in May. They said they won't ever charge any markup and I'm on the top of their list. Then I saw the pricing difference was $4,400 for an A91-MT vs the Premium MT. I didn't feel right paying that much more for different colors, so I changed my order to a Premium. Then FOMO kicked in... I started reading how much money people are paying for the A91, and I'm wondering if I'm missing out!

In 10 years, do you think the A91 will be worth that much more? Would investing that $4,400 in the stock market give me a better return than putting that money in a limited edition? I'm ready to call the dealership again and ask to change my order. They will hate me for sure. ?

Investing $4.4k in the stock market will give you a better return than any Supra limited edition or normal edition. You're not missing out on anything unless the CU Later Grey or Matte White combined with the brown interior is your dream spec.

And when they come out with whatever A91 limited edition in 2024, you'll get FOMO once again.

Will they be worth a premium over any other 2023 manual Supra? Probably. Will they recoup the astronomical markups some dealers are asking? Probably not.

I mean, these aren't one of ten limited edition supercars... they are option packages on commonly available sports cars. My guess is they will depreciate like any other used car in ten years time, with the A91-MT's holding a slight price advantage over any other 2023 manual Supra. Once the used car market adjusts back to a sort of "normal" I doubt these cars ever see their original sale price in value again. The only thing that will confuse that will be however the whole "everything is electric now" transition turns out.

Unless its a Porsche 911 GTx car i doubt it will go up in price.

The way I see it going with these cars on social media - any clean or lightly modified car will keep its value seeing how its done in 2024/2025, but I doubt you are going to get rich off of it.

good luck with finding A a91 that's ONLY 4.4k more than a premium.

I think for me it was worth it and they will always hold a slight premium in a used market over a regular premium, for instance like a c63s edition 1, the M3 Jahre, etc, it won't be double but maybe a few K more. Personally I loved the matte white and brown interior, I would have paid just for that, and 2nd I got it for MSRP, 0 markup at all so I know I will loose a lot less then those paying 10-15-20k markups on them.

Just do a search on a used car website. If you filter out the insane priced ones a 2020 launch edition or a 2021 A91 is about the same or only slightly higher (due to fewer data points) than average 3.0 Premium of that year.

Stop worrying about what a car is going to be worth in the future. It’s a car, it’s meant to be driven. 90% of the time, it’s a depreciating asset. If it makes you money in the long run, then great but why fixate on something such as the market when no one really knows what’s going to happen in the future.

Drive it. Enjoy the damn thing.
