Wind Noise & Buffeting Fixes

Good to hear! I'm going to experiment tomorrow with removing the cargo cover and also adjusting it. That would definitely change the air flow in the cabin and the acoustic factors of the wind flowing through. My old Z06 had a soft shade cover in the cargo area. It was basically mesh to help cover anything stored in the cargo area and allowed air to flow around back there. It would be great if that is all we needed for the A90 too!

It's raining here but I managed to run some tests on wind buffeting ideas. I tried with two bullets mounted on the mirrors. They were hard plastic but adhered with 3M tape. On the test run the noise was still there 100% and it didn't seem to make a difference at all. I then installed them vertically, instead of horizontally, but hated how they looked so I immediately took them off. I didn't even bother with a test run. So if anyone was wondering, these do not work.

My second round of tests, I found these door guards to work 100%. They are rubber and have tapered edges so they blended in really good on the mirrors. The color also blends pretty good with the surrounding rubber molding. I wasn't sure how I would like it because they do have a ghost carbon look but it was only visible at certain angles and depending on the light. Plus, you really have to get up on it to see it.

They were installed with double sided tape but only took about 5 min to install. I only had to trim the bottom edge to get a snug fit. You can line it up right against the edge of the mirror. You don't even notice them from 5 feet away. Best part was it was only $4.99 and that is for a 4 pack of them!

These would need to be at an angle of attack to have any hope of working. I'd try 15 degrees nose up as a starting point.

There are several simple effective fixes posted in the thread. Problem is, at 19 pages long nobody reads about them all.

I was gonna try out some of the ones on Amazon, figured it would be a fun experiment, but the delivery dates are all end of April or May right now sadly. But I think that's just the reality of things.

Maybe try an old windshield wiper trimmed down to size. Slap some double sided tape on the bottom and that may be enough to get you by until things get back to normal.
