Yes, it makes daily driving better.Would you guys say an xHP tune is worth for just daily driving and no track use? I have a non-tuned Supra/stock trans. Just downpipe and an intake.

I'd say 25-50% of people who use xhp would be fine with OTS, but I think it's more common to tweak a few settings.
If you drive in sport automatic a lot, you might have a stronger need to fine tune the settings like the torque reduction upshifts, throttle blips, and shift speeds. If you check this thread myself and others have posted their settings. I'm on my second supra and I'm "redoing" my settings from scratch, one thing i hate is that the car will sit at 45mph 3k rpms in sport auto a lot, so I make my sport shift points LESS sporty, because personally when I drive hard I do it in manual anyways.
Appreciate the replies! Yea I think I'll grab it sometime soon, I really want this to be my last mod for a bit as I've spending way to much on the car lmao. I'll look around and hopefully there are settings from somebody I could just copy if I'm not happy with the Stage 2 OTS. Hoping to find a middle ground, since I'll prob be using auto/paddle shifters equally as I just got some magnetic paddle shifters that are really satisfying to use!I haven’t really seen the need to modify it, not yet at least. But i usually shift manually most of the time, so to modify the auto behavior isn’t so important for me.
Sport mode is definitely faster with XHP but it’s pretty aggressive and I rarely use it since shifting manually is just way more fun.
I think you should start with stage 2 and go from there. There’s settings that you can copy from other users if you wanna finetune it.
I've dumped my settings somewhere on this thread before, or if you don't mind me being ranty, I can do another dump of my current changes for the new car, but I'm still dialing in a couple values.Appreciate the replies! Again, appreciate ya guys input/help!
Personally for me, xHP is a lot like when I first upgraded from a 60hz display to a 144hz display for gaming; the difference from old to new was noticeable but not that crazy, but the difference going from new back to old feels much more noticeable and jarring.when I go back to stock flash or when I bought my replacement supra, it's not that stock trans flash is bad, it's that XHP is just better.
I still haven’t tweaked the settings yet. That would probably make the biggest difference in town, on comfort mode. Regardless, she doesn’t bog down so low anymore and my gas mileage change is negligible. Probably saves as much as the dreaded start stop function. All these things are overkill for getting every last drop of gas to improve the mpg. At least where I live.I've dumped my settings somewhere on this thread before, or if you don't mind me being ranty, I can do another dump of my current changes for the new car, but I'm still dialing in a couple values.
>Last mod
Good joke, inb4 buying a mod 2 weeks later
XHP is great, they might also have deals for the license at times, it's not a required mod, when I go back to stock flash or when I bought my replacement supra, it's not that stock trans flash is bad, it's that XHP is just better.
Some. You can raise/turn off the transmission torque limit in BM3. You can indirectly change shifting behavior as well. XHP has direct access to the TCU, which is always better.-Does bm3/mhd have the ability to do the same stuff xhp can?
BM3/MHD dongles should work just fine.-Do I need the xhp dongle or will bm3/mhd dongle be able to communicate?
I've noticed their dongle has been sold out for a while: https://www.xautomotive.com/products/xhp-wifi-adapter-Do I need the xhp dongle or will bm3/mhd dongle be able to communicate?
MHD works. The pinkish one. https://mhdtuning.com/pages/mhd-wir...zxEuHBj6y47flNvlAUC1-jis-e_PewyZZJcRDYRIA7XeyI've noticed their dongle has been sold out for a while: https://www.xautomotive.com/products/xhp-wifi-adapter
And on Aliexpress I no longer see Bimmercode wifi OBD2 adapters which used to be available for approx 40USD a few months ago, just BT3.0/4.0 ones which I was told are too slow for data transfer required for ZF8HP driver programming. There are available only "xHP" wifi adapters for almost 80USD, picture attached. Which wifi adapter do you guys recommend right now, which is available to be purchased in Europe?

I didn’t feel all warm and fuzzy when I installed mine but yes its a good mod. Should we show him the xHP mega thread?
