I went to a local BMW dealer yesterday and set in the new Z4. It was inside on the showroom floor with the top down. The car has nice lines and was bigger outside than in. Once inside I shut the door there is not alot of room. I instantly felt cramped in it I'm 6' 225lb. The driver seat was very uncomfortable I messed with all the settings and it just could not get it right. The hood seemed to go on forever looking out the windshield. Driver controls are laid out well nice fit and finishes. If the Supra feels this small when it arrives I'm going to have to pass. I hope Toyota makes a Targa Top Supra the open air feeling in the BMW convertible was the only saving grace from the small inside.

I own it and tell people don't bother . Performance is trash for the price. I've owned 2ss camaro, golf r, scat pack 392 and this car . Highest price worst Performance trash app . Once the 400z comes out say bye bye supra .

Yes i agree its priced to high but definitely not trash IMO. Also if you test drove the car before buying it you would have known that you didnt like it. So your either a troll and dont own one or just not smart to test drive the car before buying.

Ive owned 2 different 392s and i will tell you this feels faster then those. And once its tuned it will be that much better. All the power with none of the weight. Also way better looking IMO

I did, dealer was closing, if it wasn't the fact I got it for 49k I would not have bought it. I also had a kia stinger as well and that was better. Its way over priced compared to what I have gotten in the past for cheaper and the performance is worse as well. Just wait this is going to die quick as hell once the 400z comes out. More power less price .

I've always been on the fence about this car and after having the opportunity to test drive one by myself. Covid rules permitted the salesman from riding along with me. I was able to drive the car for how long I wanted and the way I wanted to.

As I drove the car, I understood what Toyota and BMW were doing but I kept thinking to myself, "there is no way I'm going to drop 53k on this shit!"

A few weeks ago, I drove the M340I for BMW's Ultimate Driving Experience Autocross since there were in San Diego. They also let drivers drive by themselves due to Covid. I almost got kicked out because I didn't hear the instructor and did an extra lap. I also went a little aggressive around the track. That car also didn't do anything for me besides the Portimao Blue paint.

I understand your position and I'm sure you're not the only one who is having huge buyer's remorse with the MKV.

Whatever. I know a lot of people on this forum would disagree with you.
Stay in the Nissan forums if you hate this car so much.

Despite it being subjectively underpowered, the reason I personally bought the Supra instead of something like the M2C or C8 is because of how refined and controllable it is. From someone in the motorcycle world, pure power doesn't mean shit if you're constantly fighting the vehicle.

As far as price goes, yes the msrp is high, but you shouldn't be paying msrp for a car anyway.

So, the benchmark car was Porsche Cayman (S), right. That's a European vehicle, not an American Muscle, neither is any of the Japanese or BMW vehicles. Have you driven a Cayman S? What were your impressions?
It's great that you're comparing unrefined V8 cars, which come cheap. Especially back in the day you could get a V8 with almost 0 interior and only had straight line performance...
Many years later, at 3000+lbs, refined, somewhat quieter, more comfortable, super easy to drive, sold around the world car with BMW guts is exactly where the price would be.
Specs were out, price was out, you test drove it a bit. Many people like me trusted the BMW collaboration, the specs, the looks, etc. and bought the car even before it was in the streets.
So, perhaps you didn't do your homework and could have been better of with a GT350 or a C8 as you're coming from SS and 392's... and perhaps watched too many FnF movies or hmm maybe didn't watch any as they clearly compare Muscle cars vs Japanese ones...
