Hey -- I'm with you lol. Why you think I own this car. I will say, our squirrely back end seems to ruffle a few feathers. From a sheer driving performance standpoint, we technically aren't the best value per dollar. But, I think our overall package is pretty good.

Yep paying more for less performance. I was very 'manual' until my 17M2 with DCT. Unbelievable fun and control. Faster. 70% DCT order rate in Germany. Putting power down and enjoying it with a manual mode as well. Total win.

Please drive a manual. A choice personal. The crying about the lack of them is the PROBLEM from journalists/purist in the media and it takes over forums. The implication is also a macho line of dog shite as well. Alludes to others not driving manuals as less. Let the F1 drivers know that LOL.

Again the worlds literal best sportscar doesnt offer it and its for good reason. They are no longer really effective at putting the power down that is avail. Corvette.

Look at the resale prices of 3-pedal Ferraris vs. the F1 gearbox option box that costed the poor sob back in the early 2000s $10k to check. The 3-pedal command double the price now. Literally.

I bought a Cayman instead of a Supra because of the manual gearbox. Feeling nostalgic about my MKIV TT 6-spd days and can't wait to trade it in for a 3-pedal MKV.

Just glad there is a manual option for those that want it. Driving enjoyment is different for all folks and while autos are more consistent for faster race/lap times, I can’t argue with those saying that there’s a different enjoyment to being able to row your own gears. Basically - y’all do you and drive what you want.

I’m perfectly happy with the ZF8 (I commute daily in mine) so I won’t be trading mine in for a manual… now if they offered a targa I’d gladly put up a non refundable deposit.

Also, I guess the Z only guys on our sister forums can shut up about how the Supra doesn’t have a manual. I’ve always been into JDM cars and I like the new Z so I frequent that forum… but man the Supra hate is unreal. Oh right… our MKVs are not real JDM according to those guys.

The Golf R. Been looking at getting a lightly used 2021 or a new 2022 as a kid hauler and most VW guys seem to agree the DSG is better than the manual.

People like to ask “would you sell it for a manual” or get something else. Sometimes I feel like the only person that likes to make a choice and stick with it. Every day I’m reminded I made the right choice based on the feeling in my mind and heart. Nothing else matters to me. And I’m of the opinion that I don’t really care for a manual— as long as there are some that exist in the world it’s not my upon my shoulders to preserve them. If my circumstances changed negatively I would maybe sell it. But I grew up wearing the same pair of shoes for as long as possible until I felt ready to get a new pair, grew up having been handed down a car from my brother to me, et cetera. My future, no matter how much money I make, will like involve me walking through the same revolving door.

Mustangs have the Mt-82 for one. Higher end cars can still have horrible manuals but people will deal with them just because of the status etc. This purist manual supremacy idea is pretty stupid if you ask me. They're cool but the whole world doesn't need them.
