If they’re marking up the Corolla GR as much as 15k to 25k in some states there’s no way the Supra won’t be as much or more.
Yeah the market is going crazy. I'm glad I got my deal on paper for the GRC. But it's going to be like that with all cars. The Z will be marked up like crazy too. The new CTR. Porsche dealers are asking, and getting, $100k over sticker on GT4 RS, and that's not even a number limited car.

Amen on that, my dealership is only charging me a 2500 markup for the GRC which is think is CHEAP even before the disasters I saw people mentioning on the GRC forum

Everyone: WHY WOULD YOU BUY A 2.0 THAT'S SO STUPID IT'S SO SLOW

Also Everyone: I wouldn't care if its a full second slower in the 1/4.
A lot of the comments I'm reading from the MK5 owner FB group says its overpriced. It starts at $43k but a lot of the ones on dealer lots have the tech package that brings it very close to base 3.0 territory.

Cheapest 2.0 near me is 46k before taxes and highest is right at 50k before taxes. Those are also used.

I don't know. The 2.0 Z4 starts at $50k without any options. So $7k cheaper seems like a deal. I think people look too much at JUST the horsepower rating, and not enough at the rest of the package. Small engine Audis and Mercedes go for the same kind of money, so in my opinion it falls right in line. We have upscale components in our Supra's, so we pay for that.

Right, I get that. I have said plenty of times that BOTH the 3.0 and 2.0 are way cheaper than their BMW counterpart. The context of the pervious point was who the heck is going to buy a $48k 2.0 when you can get a base 3.0 for not much more. Yes, I do know some people aren't going to care and just want to get the lowest price as possible and pricing will vary depending on the local region. Yes, but you're also paying for the badge. I think people are looking at the overall picture, even resale. If it isn't hot new than it most likely won't be in the used market, just my opinion.

Yeah true. I guess it comes down how bad they want that 3.0. A bare base 3.0 or rather have a fully loaded 2.0 with the tech package and such.

And in this market some people are just getting what they can. If it were my money I would pick the base 3.0. It comes with enough goodies for me. I'm pretty basic, just give me A/C, power windows, and some kind of infotainment unit and I'm good lol.

Yup, and you'd be right. I don't use anything in my car. Not the navigation, not the radio, nothing. Wireless charger is useless because a half decent pull sends the phone flying, the only time I use an "option" my car has, is the sensors pulling into my garage lol.

Same here. I have absolutely no use for the HUD (turned it off), the wireless charging (unplugged it), the “upgraded” sound system (don’t listen to it), etc. The only, ONLY reason I went with the premium trim is the bigger rear brakes, which I wish weren’t red.

I heard from a reliable source the 6-speed manual Supra will be marked up $10-$15K. Get them while they’re hot. ?

I was able to put a deposit down on one on Friday for MSRP. The dealers don't have any info on what MSRP will be yet though. I highly doubt it's going to go up a ton for 2023 since they'll have the Z to be competing with now.

The 2023 C8 only went up like 1k in MSRP even though those are selling way higher than that pretty much everywhere.

There is virtually NO chance of finding a C8 for anywhere near msrp and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one for less then 20 to 25k above msrp and some of those have 20k miles on them
