I just saw that for 2022 unless you buy a premium trim there won’t be brembo brakes for the 3.0 base? That’s disappointing

I was just at Elmore Toyota, they set up an appointment for me to come in for a test drive. When I arrived they told me if I didn't have 83k on me they wouldn't let me test drive it. What a bunch of clowns. Was this the white supra with the scuffs already on it?
Maybe it's the white one with the key marks LOL

I feel bad for you SoCal folks - it seems really difficult to buy a car there for MSRP, let alone under it... And now, with the car crunch it seems you don't stand a chance!

It's weird here in the southeast. You can buy cars for MSRP (or under) all day long - but some dealers still try to tack on $5k+ 'market adjustments' like they're the only ones who have a car. the various Koons Toyota dealerships are a solid example of that, but even they're 'only' trying to get $81k for a CF Edition, so ~$13k markup. Meanwhile, there are at least 2 dealers in their immediate area that I know of, who are charging MSRP (probably with some BS warranty add-ons) for their CF Editions - but we're talking about tacking on $1300 in high-profit BS, not $13k+++ for *literally nothing*.

They’re brembos but unpainted.
Are you sure? The image on Toyotas website shows the same caliper as the 2.0 and the 3.0 premium specifically mentions the brembos

2021 is the same thing. No brembo unless you get premium.

Nope, same calipers just unpainted. Really dumb and petty for toyota to do that instead of just having red paint standard but hey, they still sell. ??‍♂ Just know that for Evos when they came out, no matter what model, red brembos were standard through all model variants from Evo 5-X

Agreed, it’s dumb. It would be nice to have them painted but on a day to day it never crosses my mind.

That’s disappointing talk about “trying to save money” makes me glad a got a 20 with the brembos for the base 3.0. Mitsubishi just decided to screw everyone when they stopped putting recaro seats in the last evo x and that blew my mind. I loved my evo 8 when I had it and I swapped in evo x seats

That's not true at all. The base 2021 has Brembos, they just aren't painted.

Edit - here's the chart from the specs right on Toyota's homepage - CLEARLY shows Brembo brakes on the 3.0 base.

Well, it's possible. I just took delivery on a 22' premium 3.0. MSRP was $56,910, and managed to get the sell price down to $54,765. All taxes (6.25%) and fees and I was out the door for $59k even. Definitely recommend trying to make your deal at the end of the month, they were motivated to move cars to hit quotas. They were a smaller volume dealer too.

I paid MSRP on one in South Carolina, but my experience with the dealer hasn’t been a pleasant one.

There was a ‘21 closer to me in Lugoff, SC that the dealer advertised and said was at MSRP only for me to drive an hour to go look at and realize it had 13k in “extras” installed.

I went and checked out this one that popped up in my area. Great example of dealer mark up and add ons!

Advertised price on the dealer website and Cargurus - $57,980

2022 3.0 Premium

This is what you find on the windshield when you get to the dealer!
at least it includes - Credit monitoring "foe" 12 months..

It looks like this one sold. Would be interesting to know if they paid the dealer's asking price.

Man how did you do that lol I’m trying to get one at MSRP at the moment. Any tips on negotiating from your experience?
