Hi guys,

Anyone have experienced a clunking noise on the front?

It happened to me recently while going over small sharp bumps at low speed. It sounds like the absorber is loose but i checked top side and nothing is loose.

I haven't check bottom side. Any advice what to check?

Also the car is stock except for added in some chassis rigidity such as strutbar and sway bar from cusco.

Appreciate the advice! Thanks

Didn’t some people have some kind of suspension cover piece that was left on during transit that should have been removed by the dealer? I can’t remember the specific part.

you mean the transportation shock pucks ... yes these were removed on PDI .... i have stock wheels ... i have checked everything ... my car has only done 8k miles ... only occurs low speed ... i really sounds like brake pads moving but they do look like they fit well with no play. its going to a local trusted mechanic for 4 wheel alignment .. i will ask him to have a look. very strange....

any chance they might be the tie rods?

Well Well Well !!

The noise is worse when the car has warmed up ... and after a long drive i got a mate to press on the hood/light and with the noise present i grabbed the tie rods ...... the outer tie rods ( track rods in the UK ) where fine BUT the inner one on the righthand side is making the noise ....

I have a theory ....

due to the location of the right hand tie rod to the turbo the grease has melted away and with the heat the balljoint on the inner rod is loosened so creating the noise OR it has loosened in its screw fitting to the rack

as i said im taking the car to an alignment shop next week let see what they think

i will do a youtube video of the noise tomorrow.

Im fairly certain its your sway bars connection to the endlinks. I had the same issue and it was the sway bar. Have a allen wrench in the middle and use a wrench to tighten the bolt. It needs a allen wrench or it will free spin.
