I dont understand why so many people want to revert back to 2jz, I lie I do. However, why not take the current motor, push it, learn from the bottom and make that motor just a good, if not better than the 2jz. Dont get me wrong, I love the JZ motors, but at some point, myself included have to move with the new. All I see are people looking for the easy way out to make power, when the same could be done with the new motor. We already know it make 700+. Realistically, with as small as this new supra is, anything north of that will be like wrestling a grizzly bear, unarmed and naked. I'll stick with what it comes with, design and manufacture new upgrades, both aesthetic and performance, while the A80 owners live in their glorious past.

I suppose if the did use it, they would have to make alot of changes to it like up the capacity for increased lifespan of the engine

cant comment on the engine thing, but I feel it's a much better direction for purists, although that was self evident im sure.

The methanol kit is a solution indeed for the b58.
But if you have a motor cylinder problem scratching ovalivation what happens to you on big prepas you must change your block.
the current b58 engine in stage 2 gives 420hp 620Nm is already not bad more you can’t change bock faster ^^
B58 not the levels of 2jz ...

You can just sleeve the block/build the bottom end like GTR owners do, but yes that's part of the reason for the new motor.

So you can have faith in the motor the car comes with.

I actually was commissioned to build a 2JZ A60 restomod for a guy locally who ended up shipping it home to Ireland. Kinda hoping to see it at the owners event!

Tada says that the supra was a pure sports car not like the z4. But the z4 in version m is more powerful stupid
