Don’t feel bad. The MSRP on my A91-CF was 68k and the dials still work just the same.
Was the MSRP on the A91-CF's that high? I wasn't aware. That's pretty steep, I think even the A91-MT's were low 60's I believe. Mine's a 3.0 Premium and I think MSRP was 58?

Anyway, I guess my frustration with it is moreso that i'm surprised there isn't a way to actively code it with bimmercode to allow the drivers knob to adjust both. Just seems like given what can already be done with bimmercode, that wouldn't be difficult to implement.

Yeah base MSRP on them was $65,270 then you have the add ons like driver assist, carbon caps, etc, etc, etc. I would expect this will be the highest MSRP trim they offer during the MKV run.

Well the problem lies in no dedicated “sync” button on the control panel. If they sold them as synced there wouldn’t be dual zone which is preferable (or an option) on higher trim vehicles. There may be a coding option somewhere in there, but it hasn’t been discovered yet if it does indeed exist.

I agree @NocturnalEmber, it's annoying AF and kinda ridiculous that a $50k+ car doesn't have something as simple as climate zone sync. I came from a Volvo V60 Polestar interior to the Supra and it was a huge step down ??.

The stereo performance was the biggest disappointment with the Supra. The Volvo was AMAZING and the Supra is pretty awful.

Honestly though, all I have to do is to put it in Sport mode, mash the gas and then I forget all about it.

FWIW the sub box mod seemed to help sound a bit. Plus the changes to the equalizer.

I'll have to give the sub box mod a try. I have all of the items needed in an Amazon list.

Believe me, I have tinkered to no extent with the EQ settings, coding out fake engine noise, turning off "surround", etc. There's only so much you can do. It's a small, cramped sportscar and obviously the radio/entertainment was not a priority on this car.

My solution was to hire an unemployed synchronized swimmer from the 2000 Olympics as my Climate Adjustment Specialist. They don’t add much weight and they are damn good at matching whatever temp I pick.

I’m coming from a ford mustang and I’m some ways the interior in that one has much more functionality, but the Supra has something special like you said. When you mash the gas pedal you forget about ac controls ?

I haven’t done the port, but I did upgrade to the Bavsound subs. Much better performance and about +12dB louder. Well worth the upgrade on the pitiful JBL system.

Do the mod. Takes maybe 30 minutes with confidence. Massive difference. I was planning an amp, woofer, custom box.. but after a short procedure and a bit of run time, I’ve totally shelved the woofer plans. Sound profile reminds me of my bass heavy open back headphones - not my super bass closed cans, but well balanced. You’ll still miss the super lows.

Look, buddy, you think *you've* got it rough with your *two* dials? Check my personal hell: *three* light switches for *one* room!

I never said I had it rough, but that it was annoying they didn't sync both sides of the climate control.

I'm flattered that you took the time to take or upload a picture of a lightswitch, though.

My 2013 Speed 3 had it. From a design standpoint there has to be something that can be coded in, but unless that happens, I might legitimately go for the rubber band method.

Ditch the dumb switches and get some smart ones.

The lack of sync button was probably the first thing I noticed in the car as well. Did try all sorts of combinations to toggle a sync. Hold that, tickle nose 3 times, horn 5 times, say prayers. None worked lol.

Part of me hoped it was some setting that was a button combination away, but I came to find out, that unfortunately, that isn't the case.

I'm just surprised anyone cars about the temperature of the other side of the car. If you want hot/cold air blown on you.. it'll blow hot/cold air on you.

If you don't have a passenger, who gives a fuck. If you do have a passenger, they can pick their own.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
