Hey everyone! I’m not much of a forum guy anymore, so I may not post much, but I at least wanted to help when I found this thread.

Long story short, with no research done, I grabbed this turbo a few months back. Having great past experiences with FP personally (I currently run the green uhf on my evo 9), and with customers and friends in the past, I wanted to try it on my 21. Well not until doing research recently, did I learn that it was not confirmed it fit the 6 port manifold.

Fast forwarding to last weekend, I decided screw it, I’m just gonna try it. Well, I can confirm that it does in fact work with the 6 port manifold! I’m not gonna say in two weeks, but I’m hoping to have pump and e50 numbers soon!

Oh and thank you @itsbassi for being cool enough to keep me in the loop on his progress ??.

This is what happens when you are dealing with products that are new to the market on newer platforms. There's plenty of info on this site providing plenty of reasons to not go with Vargas, or many of the other bolt on turbo replacements.

Also I messaged the owner of FP recently, and it looks like they've got more turbo options coming. :)

Traditionally the Green is an OEM+ equivalent upgrade. Their product naming will likely go Green(OEM+), Red(Mild Upgrade), Black(Race Upgrade) if they do continue to develop the platform. This is only my assumption based on their previous developments on other cars.

FP has a history of success with stock housing turbochargers. I'm hopeful that they'll crack the code to reliable bolt on turbo performance.

Just spoke to them as well. They have an FP Red in development due for release this year. Sounds like it’s soon tbh.

No fp black plans at the moment though.

I'm excited to see what they're going to call a Red on this car. That might be the sweet spot on a Supra running 93 on the stock fuel system.

Hopefully these FP turbos are more reliable than the Pure offerings have been.

I have owned over 15 Evos so know the fp line up very well. This green seems more like an hta71. Green have a different turbine housing usually. Would be in on a red or something that flows 65 lbs to 70 lbs. FP stuff with xona billet housing is nice.
Agreed. In the past a cold side only setup was not considered a Green. Would be more accurate to call it an HTA

Thanks! Really interested in seeing the results. We have 3 different tuners across 2 (I believe) platforms exploring this turbo option now. (at least, on the forum)

Yes, I changed every “one time use” part associated with the swap. I ordered all my parts through Toyota, and it took about a week to get everything together. Apparently the big hold up is the exhaust manifold nuts for some reason lol

I’m still going back and forth with Visconti on my tune, but so far on pump and e30 it feels great! Once my tune is situated, I’m hoping to hit the dyno and get pump and e50 numbers ??.

You wouldn’t happen to have a dragy, would you?

I do not unfortunately.
For the $150 its basically negligent not to :D Not meaning to attack specifically *you* over it; but I don't even understand how people can live without the real world validation/results after thousands of dollars invested in mods when it costs so extremely little to have it these days. Not only that, but it aids you optimization of your setup to make sure you're getting the most out of it, and helps you monitor your status down the road where the butt dyno will fail to detect a gradual decline in performance. It is easily the best bang for your buck in the entire automotive performance aftermarket.

+1 for getting a dragy @A90_Bill. Useful for the pre-loaded measures, like 0-60 and 60-130, but you can also create custom measures like 40-100 or 60-100 if you don't always have the space to safely do the others.

I bought a TON of 'remove and replace' engine gaskets, bolts, studs, etc over the winter. I cleaned out a lot of dealers in the area. lol.
