Anyone have an idea of when the rest of the color line-up will be confirmed? I want to make sure my deposit (for an A91) goes to something other than this.
the only A91 in 2023 was the MT CUL/Burnout White. if there's a trend, this 45th edition is the only A91 (Mikan Blast or Burnout White)

Yah but the 23 was made in smaller numbers 500 total split between 2 colors, wasn’t as ridiculous looking and had a few more unique touches. Being the smallest edition of the A91s will have appeal on paper
idk how this relates to what i said. if you can do math you'll realize there will about the same amount of MT CUL and MT Mikas. but if you want to believe yourself a unicorn, by all means

To bad CUG was a generic option for some other markets. Only special in the US.

I hate that wing with a passion!!!! It just looks cheap like it should've been on sub 30k car like a Kia Forte. The color looks close to my RR 2.0 color and the stripe is not for me.

Not really. I deal with press embargoes fairly regularly and it's not like this at all. I just have to sit on some information until a certain date. How I relay this information after the embargo date is entirely my choice. What was being exhibited in the YouTube videos was cash-for-comment.

Which is why YouTubers are best viewed with skepticism and a critical mind.. if, at all. ?
Yeah. Youtubers are trash. I skip that trash.

I also deal with embargos. On both ends of them, quite a bit.

There are usually. "these are the facts, this is what you can say, and here's our script if you want to follow it, if not that's fine."

I gotta say, I like the color, whatever bmw color it may be, I see both sunset and fire orange but who knows it could be something totally new. The wing eh not for me, def no on the stripe, but it'll def be a cool car. Agree with the interior comment, lame they did not do orange stitching or add some color, always been an issue the lack of interior options on this car, glad I have the hazelut, and in regards to what other people said for A91 MT's, as far as I know Burnout cars got stopped min production for supply chain issues and only 50 ever left, I have been trying to keep track of them but the numbers seem to add up. Meaning 450 CU later grays. So that would be cool to confirm and make this one pretty rare. Damn I sound like a corvette owner.

You’re looking at smaller options /configuration scarcity. Typical market preferences typically see simpler emission/edition numbers more prevalently as most buyers aren’t specialists. historically special editions are valued over regular editions even if there is specific configuration rarity unless there is desirable mechanical differences. A91 do today and most likely will bring premiums over A90s forever into the future. I was simply speculating which a91 will be the one most sought out in an unknown future.

the entire exercise is theoretical as we don’t know how history will view these. If they are not well regarded or too hard to keep on the road, the few specialists will take their pick specifically to their preferences and there will be little value spread among survivors other than condition, Engine type & transmission. If demand far out strips supply then other differentiations will become relevant such as the S2000 CR which isn’t that different from a normal one. If they reach collector status and knowing collectors (esp the ones willing to pay up) they will want the best. Just the fact that that every year has “special” A91 editions vs”normal” A90 will drive people towards the 91s even if they are posers who don’t even appreciate the differences what little there are.

only blue chip collectibles get to the point where every transaction is based off individual specificity like classic Ferraris where the entire market agrees that a yellow manual is something more than a normal A90. These aren’t Carrera GT’s. They might be special collectibles one day but there are decades, phases and many steps before that happens if ever.

the point I was making is currently (not speculatively ) the 23 a91 mt are the most desirable and expensive mk5 Supras in the aftermarket. I am not so sure the 24s will dethrone them for long if at all post new-ness. 900 24s is simply more than 500 23s and there is value in being the smallest emission of all the special additions at least perspectively. Besides 23s have more tangible & desirable differences compared to the 24s beyond those fancy stickers. But maybe you are the type of guy who loves lots of stickers on cars, that I suspect is less theoretical.

This isn't Gran Turismo. Who cares. Enjoy the car. If anyone is buying a particular model for XP they're likely going to be disappointed in the long term.
